I know we had hardly any ball in the Souths 20m last night so it's probably not right to judge, but after looking at last nights match and the WCC, I am starting to wonder what has happened to our main attacking play last year, where we used two forwards as lead runners and had Maloney sweeping out the back, and Pearce had to choose either option. I know Robbo and the players have said that we have to improve and expand our options, but that play was so effective last year and I can't see how any defences can really stop it consistently? I understand we need to add versatility to our play but I hope we don't scrap this play because it was our main attacking weapon last year and worked so well.
I dunno maybe we have tried to use it and execution is still lacking, which is understandable so early on, or we have used that play and I have just missed it, but I hope it will continue to be used. There was an article on Fox Sports about it being so effective this week too.
What's everyone's thoughts?
