  • Roosters coaching staff for 2010

The Sydney Roosters coaching staff for the 2010 season has been confirmed.

The following roles will be staffed by a select group who will help transform the Roosters back into a premiership force under Brian Smith’s regime.

Supporting the head coach is a team of six support staff that will form the football department.

    Trent Robinson – Assistant Coach
    Rohan Smith – Assistant Coach
Ciriaco Mescia – High Performance Manager
Damien Austin – NRL Rehabilitation & NYC High Performance Manager
Jason Schulman – Power and Strength Coordinator
Scott Murray – NYC Head Coach

Each member of the coaching staff has had vast experience and are considered expert in their respective fields.

Roosters online will endeavour to bring more insight into each individuals background over the coming weeks.

Tune in for tomorrow’s Roosters TV exclusive featuring a member of the coaching staff talking about the new GPS system the players are using in preseason.

Well i guess now we can see some real work done by the coaching staff.

i think some previous "high performace" coaches dodn't understand the meaning of high performance.

Thanks for that info, was wondering if they'd gotten rid of Young

Does anyone know what Cherry Mescia's been doing the last few years?

He has been doing a good job too, they might not be a top side the Tigers but they have never been unfit.

Highly regarded too, considered to be instrumental in rehabilitating Benji. Benji was seriously looking at pulling the pin (no pun intended) when he got injured last time.

            That's a good get.

He is Brian Smith's son and coached the Newcastle NYC team this season. I think they came in 11th. I think he is only about 27 years old.

27 years of age and described as having "vast" experience???

                            For Brian Smith absolutely, yes.
                            For the rest, hardly.

Welcome all of you to easts. Lets hope the PR department is the only place you'll need spin to look good.

looks like nepotism has arrived at Bondi boys and girls.

                              Im not surprised.
Brian has burnt a lot of friendships in his 20 year tenure.
