That's where the similarities end though

Reddy's a mile better than any centre we have

      So is Dancin' Dallas!

As long as he remembered to drop his handbag when he had to carry the ball.

First of all, what do we actually need? imo we are a fitzy type experienced backrower short - someone to bridge the gap before cordner is ready to step up. Therefore I would be keen on waterhouse - he would be the best value out of all of the backrowers going around imo. Secondly, as others have pointed out, we need a centre. I agree that graham is better on the wing than centre or is better suited there at least imo so we need a centre to partner williamson who I think should start the season in the centres playing inside mini. Im not sure who it should be exactly - we are kind of spoilt for choice but any one out of reddy, morris, graham, reddy, jennings, inglis and lawrence will do me. btw, what happened to that chris lawrence rumour??

C'mon mate, surely we'll get Inglis or Lawrence or Hayne or Morris or Jennings.........shit, why not get 2 of them. I mean why wouldn't they want to come here

Plus, where roz is concerned money is not an option.

I agree we need another workhorse backrower but IMO not necessarily an experienced one. Somebody like Shaun Fensom from the Canberra hasn't had an opportunity down at Canberra yet but was the best backrower going around in the juniors in 2008. He is very, very good and he would fit the bill for what we need. He doesn't replace Fitzgibbon and nobody will, but he does have the game to develop and if he can be half the player Fitzgibbon was, he'll do very well.

Dallas Johnson would have been gold for us.

Would have cost us an arm and a leg though.

We need someone who can do what he does, but for cheap.

I'd like to think that Morbs can do that for us.

Danny Williams is one of the fittest guys in any grade, he would have fitted that role perfectly instead of being turned into a small front rower.

                      I like Morbs

He's certainly no Dallas Johnson though

the problem Morbs has is that he's too slow and lacking in footwork to cause any real problems at centre, and nowhere near a damaging enough defender or ball runner to be a top flight backrower. Pretty much the same problem Sa had

I do think his future, if he has one with us, is as a defensive centre. An extra yard of pace would be a godsend

Morbs could easily be our Dallas Johnson...

You don't need to be a "damaging" defender to be a great backrower. You need to keep making the same tackles all game and not miss them..

Morbs is twice the player Johnson is with the ball in his hands...

Cherry Mescia did a lot of that cleanup shit at Wests when he was hooking there. Dont be surprised if Cheriaco doesnt turn Morbs or Jorbs into Bonettis.

I think Maubs can flourish in the back row. He's a good, honest toiler which is just what we need.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

                              yes

                              of course he could

what Dallas Johnson does is easy

                              hell, anyone could do it

Dallas Johnson - Australian representative backrower, Origin backrower

Mitch Aubusson - centre lacking in pace now being talked about as a backrower for the current wooden spooners because he's too slow to be in the centres

the similarities between the 2 players are downright spooky

Morbs has been a stop-gab centre at Easts for the past two years because we have not had any centres..

He has played most of his footy at lock hasn't he..That is where he stood out in the lower and junior grades..

He has had a relatively soft introduction to the NRL IMO, and has the talent and the defense to be a mobile lock/backrower.. He also now has some reasonable first-grade experiance albeit with a nuffy coach..

Sure Dallas Johnson has a great resume as he deserves this. He is also 5 years older than Mitchell...You have to start somewhere...

The similarities are that they are exactly the same size aren't they..

                                They are both workers

They both have a classic tackleing technique...

                                They are both backrowers..

The difference is Johnson is 5 years further into his career..

Each to their own though I guess..

                                Only time will tell..
