Mack, aren't the Roosters trying to do that with say Ryan Williamson and Boyd Cordner to name two?

It's common knowledge that he's trying to get out of his union contract already..

If Mason's salary was freed up, I'd re-sign Martin Kennedy, Mose Masoe and Fine Moeakiola and then I'd try and recruit Shaun Fensom from the Canberra Raiders and Brad Tighe from the Penrith Panthers.

Not really.. the contracts are lodged with the NRL already and they do not allow forward paying.. You can get around by upgrading existing deals but it is a bit of a grey area.

I hope you are not in recruitment.

It will also depend on whether he is terminated or released. If released, the Roosters will need to account for the shortfall on the new contract, if any. If terminated, and there would be hell to pay over that one, then the Roosters are unencumbered.

On the Mason issue, you are absolutely correct.

Brad Tighe was playing some good footy at the end of this year and I think he is slowing improving and would be worth a look. Although I forgot to mention I'd much rather go for maybe Joel Reddy or Ashley Graham. Joel Reddy might be forced out of Parramatta and Ashley Graham is a class player.

Joel Reddy is perhaps the most underrated player in the NRL. A very, very good centre. We usually only buy overrated players

I am hoping Williamson can develop into a First Grade Centre for years to come.. I see Phil Graham as more of a Winger so we we definitely need at least one Centre to come in from somewhere.. I am not so convinced about the other young guys we have at the club and believe Maubs is a Lock not a Centre..

Brad Tighe is okay but has a lot of mistakes in his game.. We have enough bumbling idiots (ok SKD) as it is. I think there are much better options..

                        Joel Reddy is rubbish.

                        Runs like Dallas Hood.

I can see Ryan Williamson being a successful long-term centre for us in first grade in years to come. He is definitely a tough kid and has plenty of potential to be developed. At the moment, we obviously can't rush in Cheyse Blair anytime soon as he is still relatively young and JP Du Plessis hasn't even reported for pre-season training yet so Ryan Williamson is really our only young gun along with Kane Linnett close to being ready to play in the centres for our first grade side. You are definitely right in pointing out that Mitch Aubusson is a backrower and will play their in the long-term.

tbh i think we should use very little of the money in order to have a stab at Micheal Jennings next year....quality player
or use the money to sign some people on 1 yr deals

Reddy is a good, underrated centre. Would be happy to see him at the club.
