They have some good new players.
If we can't beat them on our home ground then we should spend the rest of the season having fan day bbqs, because we'll just be making up the numbers.

An Eels woman supporter rang the radio last week and said that she wanted to buy a family pass for yesterday's game...but that, for the family pass plus two adults it was going to cost nearly $200 or something.
She said there was no way they could afford that, so they'd all be staying home and watching the game on tv.
Radio just announced ...at 5.15am today; "Lowest opening round crowd numbers for over a decade.
Down 35% on last year's opening round".
Thursday night at 8.10 is no time to be starting a match...many players are probably nearly asleep, for one thing.
Also, people are struggling to pay their electricity bills etc..Last edited by bondi-boy; 03-10-2014, 06:05 AM.

I'm certain we will be a different team next week. But last nights game is not to be taken lightly, the eels have bounced back and under good coaching and personal pride with speed to burn, they are now an effective attacking team. Consequently our defence will need to be at our best, but after seeing some of their game on TV they seem very focused on attack which is now a good thing for us as it means their defence may not be up to containing the likes of Jennings and rts?without sbw the rest of the team will need to stand up, especially mini to provide the leadership we now most urgently need; on the field BBQ needs to lead form the front foot as well!

I think although the Eels looked strong, we should be fired up after that last week's loss. The rabbits strong forward pack wore us down. I don't see the same thing happening with the Eels.
