Getting towards the end of the Souths game, when SBW lost the ball after tackled, the two Souths players who were lying all over his back when he attempted to rise to his feet and play the ball, causing him to lose the ball.....should've been penalised.
Teo should've been cited for his shoulder charge.
He wasn't.

According to the rules Te'o's tackle wasn't a shoulder charge. His arm was away from his body and not tucked in like SBW's tackle. SBW also made contact to the head where Te'o didn't.
This might be hard to swallow, but those are the rules mate.

Says it all.
Pretty unlikely he'll be anywhere near the sideline, given that he'll be playing prop.
I'll be very interested to see how Evans goes.
Hope he goes well.
He needs to stay away from the sideline, and keep control of the ball.
Mate, do you mean he needs to stay on the field for the entire 80 minutes?...that's tall order for a rookie..

Watching replay of Parra game and they actually look like a changed team. I Like their new second rower (12) who does some nice things with the ball and of course the big fijian winger. If they defend like they did against the Warriors, it wont be an easy game.

They are no longer easy beats, injury could hurt them this year but @ full strength come finals time they could be up there..
The only thing that will stop Kane Evans from being a gun forward is injury. This guy is the real deal. Napa too. Forget last week. I dont think Napa went all that bad anyways, in a team that was well beaten. Those guys together will be much better value to us than a Fifita. I am hearing(grapevine) that we couldn't really make a move for Fifita and we are very close to announcing a replacement for SBW. The deals are done. Maloney needs to lift. So much of our attack runs through him. Needs to complete his plays better. I'm backing him to deliver, just like Kane Evans will. Good luck champ. (Don't) break a leg.

Maloney is the size of a primary school child...he needs protection, and room to move.
He'll never be able to do anything with a 6-12 penalty count against us.
We need at least an equal share of possession, an organised attack...run arounds, switches of play, second phase play with a forward backing into the tackle and offloading the ball to an Inglis look alike running at pace when he catches the ball.
Cordner is big enough.
Opposition players must not be allowed to flatten Maloney after every kick and nothing be done about it.
Maloney should stay down if hit late, high, or late and high.

I am with you on this one BB Souths were allowed to bash Maloney at will with little reprisal , but worse still no protections from us or the Refs

Maloney doesn't need protection. When he is on, it's the opposition that needs the protection. Everyone needs to play what's in front of them and not worry about the bloke next to them. That was our strength last year, confidence in each other. Worked well too. I agree that we need equal possesion, which means that we gotta cut our errors because the refs will cane us again this year.
