I like Roger as a centre or future five-eigth. For some reason I reckon he's better closer to the line than up the back. His footwork from a standing start seems to be his strong suit. Early days though.

As good as Tedesco looks, it really would be a stupid signing. Unless Trent has some sort of plan to swap RTS and Tedesco around in attack like he does with Mini and RTS, (which is probably only done because everyone at the Roosters realises part of evolving their attack is having a livewire fullback, something which Mini no longer really is) I can't see the point of it. I'm hoping they re-sign Moga and give him an opportunity to play regularly. All he needs is a bit of luck with injury.

But as the old motto goes, we have to TIT and back whatever decision he and POS make.

I love it when the media bite at speculation on fan forums, I'm sure Tedesco's manager would be laughing all the way to the bank with the media doing his job for him, it was only a few weeks ago that we were certain to sign Fifita apparently.

that being said I can't believe many on here can't see the benefits of signing Tedesco, looking towards 2015 we will have a vacant wing spot when RTS moves to fullback, when you look at the likely internal replacements there is not 1 option at our club currently that you can rely on to be a consistent first grade winger, just take a look at the candidates:

Moga - unfortunately has spent the last 2yrs on the sideline due to knee injuries, its currently unkown when/how he will return, likely recruitments decisions will need to be made before TauTau returns to the field.

Milne - was 19th man for the WCC after impressing during the offseason, problem is he is currently out with a serious knee injury and won't return for another 7-8 weeks, once again after recruitment decisions need to be made

Reuben - has been terrible for Newtown and in the nines, not up to first grade standard yet

MacDonald - similar to Reuben hasn't developed as fast as club had hoped.

Rokolati - can't even make the Newtown starting team which says a fair bit


it is also important to remember that SKD went very close to joining BJ out the door before the 2013 season and his contract is done at the end of 2015, you get the feeling that if there were other options last year Robbo could very well of pulled the trigger and dropped or even released SKD.

Tedesco would automatically make our 2015 backline better whether it is at right centre or right wing.

I have now doubt that Robbo/POS have targeted an outside back with some of the SBW cash, the question is whether Tedesco is that player or is it just another beat up and our real target will be revealed at an appropriate time.

Would much rather Koroibete or Nofaluma who are both off contract at the Tigers for the vacant wing spot. Would demand less money & are natural wingers. Both very talented. With Pat Richards a lock for one of the spots a guaranteed starting position may be all it takes.

The irony about us chasing Tedesco is that a few years ago he wanted to play for us (his fav team growing up) but POS didn't show enough interest.
I suppose his decision to not sign him was vindicated by the signing of Roger dodger.

Don't we have significant upgrades to friend Pearce toups and rts next year? Plus wasn't there a article saying that mini might stay on next year?

Also isn't moa and a few other players off contract this year and next that would want upgrades?
