  • Jason Ryles is garbage!

I can't fathom the excitment most here seem to have for the supposed incoming Jason Ryles? I just don't get it?

He was crap when he left the NRL to play over in France, he has been crap for them (or else they wouldn't let he leave mid contract) and I garuntee, he WILL be crap for us if we are stupid enough to sign him.

He's past it, by the length of a footy field and he'll be nothing but an embarrassment if he plays in our colours.

    Chook.

He was so crap he was actually voted the Dragons player of the year in 2008. If you saw him in the ESL he was Catalans best forward at the seasons end and they narrowly missed making the Grand Final.

I can't fathom as to how people who actually watched his games can speak negatively about his performances.

Either they are blind or in reality - the only idea they have of Ryles is from highlight tapes which don't demonstrate the hard work he puts in around the ruck.

          Garbage? No

31 years old and a low percentage signing? Yes

          No rep football since 2005

Should have kept 26 year old Shillington, who's just starting to blossom

We had no hope in hell of fitting Shillo in our cap for the 350k the faiders signed him for at that time...

Chook, I'm going to withhold my judgement of Ryles until he is signed and plays for the Roosters.

                Shillo is soft !

he is only in the test squad cause Price is out and he is on the QLD ticket.

His performances during the season did not warrant selection.

                    Chook,

I agree. Im happy to be proven wrong, but we all know Ryles will be penalised more often than not for the biggest brain explosions ever. He is a liability in my opinion. Id rather have Dancin Dallas back in the front row.

If anyone was to come back from the UK Id want either Cayless fitness permitting, or The Yak. Not hot headed bludgers like Ryles. Fucj Id kill to have teh Yak's work ethic in there for just one season,.

If he is garbage then what are FPN, Waqa, Paea etc?

Ryles will at least have a dig under Smith. He played under Nathan Brown during a time when he needed an experienced and knowledgeable coach.

I've bagged him in the past but am happy to see how this one pans out.

Fair enough, but just further evidence of the appalling roster management at the club. So many overrated players on inflated salaries producing nowhere near their worth, and so much money wasted on paying out sacked coaches and paying a proportion of discarded players contracts at their new club after we ditch them, and as such we don't have the money to keep Shillington after, FOR ONCE, having invested some time into the player and his development. Then what do we do after he leaves and we need a prop? Bring a 31 year old back from England

Non existent planning, knee jerk signings, and utter incompetence

Why would anyone want to pay $350k for Pillow...regardless of whether we could afford it.
