You say he averaged 140 yards, well I can say Shillow averaged 150 in his last year at the Roosters, doesn't make it true.

Shillo only averaged 92.4 metres per game in 2008
Ryles averaged 137.7 metres per game in 2008

Being a good prop is more than making 100 meters. We need 2nd phase play, cool heads, zero egos, and good hands....and we go and sign a useless turd like Ryles. Go figure.

Yep Wendall Sailor, he has a backside bigger than most props heads and is not contracted

But seriously at the moment I will just whinge, because Ryles like Gower is I think overrated rubbish and I struggle to see the point of bringing overrated rubbish with a huge ego into a side that needs its ego kicked from here to Perth and back.
If he has changed and doesn't come here with his hand on his dick then great. But I have my doubts.

That's quite a check list there Melon... like to name me 5 props who tick all those boxes? Reckon Ryles would close closer than many, his second phase play is superb by the way.

No its also about Football being very subjective.
We see things in different ways. I find it very hard to believe Ryles made those yards.
Maybe he did, but there are many things in his game I don't like.

IF you want stats, take all the yards gained, then subtract all the yards lost due to penalties gven, that would paint an interesting picture....


But outside of having a laugh on the internet, at the moment I trust Smith but just not over the moon aobut signing one of my least favourite players ever.

And your refusal to try and explain how having Mason as captain, whilst insisting we need "zero egos", is just silly. Have a crack at explaining yourself mate. You don't have much to lose.
