Just to make my position very clear - I am prepared to accept that every penalty the Roosters gave away was completely deserved and that we are clearly the most "ill-disciplined" side in the last 35 years. I will not accept that the Broncos' discipline was as perfect as the referees clearly believed it to be last night.
A few other points:
- Regarding the Grand Final, it was truly wonderful that we finally won a penalty count and it just happened to be in the most important game of the year. Grand Finals do not generally have lopsided penalty counts and, after all the penalty floggings we received in 2013, we enjoyed the luxury. If we can make it to the 2014 GF through the same adversity, we will be in good shape.
- Regarding the Vermin, they rely a lot on the easy territory provided to them through their weekly welfare penalty payments. They would not make the 8 if they had to endure what we endure week in, week out.

I get so sick of the pro Bronco commentary every single Friday night, last night made me physically ill.
I am sure when Pearcey through the pass to Cordner for the winning try, that Wally Lewis yells "Forward" in the background.
I sort of get why Wally and that illiterate gimp Lockyer are pro broncos, but Raaaaaay Hadley also seems to be on their band wagon as well. The only time I will put myself through the torture of watching the Friday Night Broncos is if the Chooks are playing.
And on another note Souths lost again....lol@souffs

It cannot be underestimated how tough that performance was last night considering the penalties.
We saw last week what happens if we win the penalties for once.
However the referees have unintentionally created a monster - by making us sprint up 90% treadmill inclines all last year with ludicrously biased penalty counts, we have now become nigh on unbeatable with an even share of possession; and still very hard to beat with 10-1 and 15-1 penalty counts against us.
Expect the penalty thrashings to continue unabated.

Last night reminded me why Wally Lewis was and is considered a wanker. I recall asking him from the floor at a work function that he was a paid speaker, after he gibbered on about himself for 30 minutes, what was he favourite RL cliche. He ignored my question. Full on wanker.
Dead set, if he wasn't a good footballer in his day, he'd never be let near a TV studio on commentary ability. You cannot say that about Joey, Freddie or Sterlo.
It is such a pity the Broncos share a Friday night duopoly with the Cowboys. Early Friday nights for me after the sydney game is over.Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

And it was quite obvious that the broncs were allowed to take longer in clearing the ruck than us last night. It was a very fast game.

Their crowd does their job and boos at the correct stages when they need a helping hand from the officials.
The advantage of being a one team town.
That said we had plenty of support there. You would have thought we were at the SFS when we won it was a great atmosphere.
I don't even worry about the penalties now.
The players don't let it concern them, they just work harder.
The coach knows there's no use whinging, no one outside this forum gives a fark.
Just gotta remember last season and what happened when we hit late in the season and the semis. The Reffs put the whistle away. We are immune to their interference by then. Then we get that little advantage cos we don't rely on the "good" calls like other sides.

People seem to conveniently forget the Grand Final when they talk about how biased referees are against us. We were very fortunate in the Grand Final. We conceded only 1 penalty, and received 5 times that amount. I'd say that's pretty good. Surely if the referees had a true agenda against us we would've copped more than 1 penalty in the Grand Final?

We've been copping it so long I'm immune now.
And the players just neck up and defend like freaks. It's great seeing it live. Our players don't rant and rave and wave arms and tear up like many other teams do.
It's even an advantage the new rule of not approaching the Reffs. We don't bother anyway, it's futile. So that rule makes zero difference to our club.

I'm not saying we don't cop the raw end of the pineapple either.
The stats over the last 15 + years support the facts.
But really what can we do???
The more we complain the more it looks like we are whinging.
And I refuse to let the Reffs ruin my enjoyment of seeing us play such good footy.
It doesn't last forever, form and success.
I'm gonna enjoy it while I can.

Here's hoping we are good enough to get to the GF again. If we are, we are unlikely to be penalised 10-3 and will be battle hardened compared with NRL welfare recipients like Souths.
