i think our d was superb. Our attack as someone mentioned before is too predictable. We overused the short ball to maubs\guerra\cordner tonight IMO. Our go forward wasn't there . We lack the X factor without sbw im afraid, We need more offloads- and he brings that. Im looking forward to his return next week.

Well. defence aside. shit we were a dumb football side tonight, these things you can bank on, every game, especially ones against Manly. JWH will either get sent off or put on report, Mini will get carried 10 or more yards backwards into the ingoal, we will get pinged for a forward pass, SKD will come inside, and leave a gap for a try against us, we will do something stupid on the 5th tackle, to give the ball to them for another set, we will drop the ball cold, more then any otherside in the comp. The Ref's were shit tonight, but dont fool ourselves, it was mainly our inept play that cost us the game. Credit to Manly their defence was very good as well.

I want to rant badly about the bullshit penalty count but i'll only talk about what we can control as a side.
-We are fking terrible coming out of our own half. Terrible
-What we saw was a very one dimensional effort in attack. Not once did we look like we were actually threatening
-I think our side needs to adjust it's style of play a little. The wrestling tactics we employed last year clearly aren't encouraged with the faster style of play the NRL is trying to instil
-Forwards were crap in gaining yard from start to finish
-Way too much running sideways and stuttering before the line. Nowhere near the amount of punch needed at the line
-Mini especially needs to stop running sideways
-SKDumb. As usualLast edited by Chook Norris; 03-28-2014, 09:52 PM.

We were very lucky to win the penalties in the GF under Ben "Mr Fix It" Cummins. Excluding that game's 5-2 count in our favour (offset, of course by the penalty try to Manly) our counts under this nasty little ferret of a man are:
2-11
6-12
5-12
I think I've just about had enough of this unofficial handicapping system. There were SO MANY instances where the Roosters should have received penalties tonight, but which were mysteriously ignored.
Wake me up if they let us make the finals this year.
