Such outstanding defence much of that game, great to see and so much better than last week!
Sure I also thought that was a try without any obvious obstruction, and a few borderline ref calls went Manly's way (for once), but the best team clearly, won on the night - a very well-earned 2 points @ the SFS.

Not hard to be the best team when you get an 11-2 penalty count your way.

How many points did the Roosters score?
        Answer; zero

Where did Manly score their try?
Down our RHS ...no winger at home.
        Of course.

The rules must be changed...I nearly dozed off the game was so boring.
So much dropped ball, dumb passes, and penalties to Manly.
I wanted to be somewhere else.

Why don't we have a specialist 40-20 kicker?
Why did we let Kennedy our biggest forward go?
We're back to playing rookies, and losing as a result.

SBW must be made wear new shoulder pads with special added padding sections under each arm so that he can't put his arms against his body, and his arms will be angled out from his body...so he can't do any more shoulder charges.

I don't think anyone in the comp does more than 5 or 6 40/20 kicks a year.
What would you consider a 40/20 specialist?
You can't seriously be missing Martin Kennedy?
Napa did a play the ball slower than Kennedy on Friday night. I'm sure you enjoyed watching that.

I hope people realise that it's not always going to be Sonny in Eastern Suburbs.

Brian Canavan is missing Marty, he said so in that onfield "tv show" match day gabfest where we tell the whole world all our tactical secrets and brag how many points we're going to smash the opposition by in the upcoming game.

Marty and LOD, and that it will take time to replace them.

Better a slow play the ball to a team set to attack than a fast play the ball that's stuffed up or the ball just tossed anywhere and ends up on the ground bouncing along for the opposition to get.

James Maloney and Shaun Kenny-Dowall dropped balls with little pressure on them. We saw wayward passes from the dummy halves, Jake Friend and Daniel Mortimer, roll aimlessly across the ground after missing their targets.

Someone with strong legs who can kick the ball from 40 to 20 with ease.
Someone who can skid the ball making it hard to handle.
Might as well do a 40-20 kick as just kick the ball aimlessly to the FB.
Freddy kicked one in the 2002 GF...gave us great field position and great momentum.
We won't be receiving any penalties other than one or two in matches anytime soon, gotta come up with some other way to get to the opposition's 20 to attack.

No one much used to kick field goals until Eric Simms started banging 'em over every 5 mins for two points.
He caused the rules to be changed.
