I saw Matai have his hand on the ball in more then a few tackles slowing the play the ball down and nothing.

It is on bugle I agree - the NRL partnership with the betting company sees a win win for them.

Manly can keep their 11 penalties. I'd rather have trophies. We've won 5 in the past 12 months. How blessed we are to have the coach we do who values integrity and good sportsmanship and knows how to articulate himself in the public arena. His carefully but thoughtful way of getting his point across in the press conference without incurring a fine or having a mini stroke, unlike his counterpart from Friday, shows how wise he is beyond his years. I urge as many of you as possible to come along to the coach's forum this year. Trent truly is an amazing speaker and even at last year's event in August, it was evident our club was on the verge of something great. Back then, he mentioned the philosophy of not laying down or playing for penalties. If only every Australian workplace had a Trent Robinson in charge..

My idea for a banner for the next game against the Sea Eagles:

"Manly play for penalties. Easts play for trophies"

Been watching this place from the sidelines for the last few weeks. Had a few other issues occupying miy mind and time but still been having a good laugh at some of he stuff on here. Alls good now though.

Suppose it took something like Friday night to fire me up an get back on here. Boy we were screwed royally.

                  Oh & GO EASTS!

There has been a bias against Easts since Super League.

Good to see most can now see it.

I wrote a 20 year penalty analysis last year on how systematically The Roosters have been the most penalised team by comparing the penalty differential (penalties For and against). The NRL'S OWN STATS website supplied the data and therefore CONFIRMS THIS finding. SO, THEY KNOW !!

We have the WORST DIFFERENTIAL of all teams and in particular under referees Klein, Cummins, Maxwell, Sutton, James and Devcich come last with the worst differential. It is not an Imaginary finding. IT IS FACT.

Robbo and Freddie would know and are smart enough or have been so advised not to state any accusations which could result in a lawsuit. A levelling out of the talent under the salary cap, tweaking the rules to make the game faster, will make penalties even more valuable due to the importance of field position: the lack of penalties causing pressure on the side that is penalty starved.

Gould is not correct in stating Manly deserved to win on Friday night because the whole structure of the game changes if penalties were given correctly.

Cummins on Friday night was left more exposed than most because the result was always in doubt and the square up penalties could no be given !!

This is a very good point which is lost on many, especially in the media.

I remember us having a 15-2 penalty count against New Zealand too.

I thought so too and it was IN New Zealand as well. I thought it was on a Sunday April 2009 but we lost that 17-16 in a stitch up too so I think it was 2008 over there. I was packing to move house that day and nearly broke grandma's china whilst listening to the radio broadcast. Then there was the Christchurch game in the ice storm in 2010 with the dodgy try awarded..So many memories..I was once watching Ferris Bueller instead of a classic game between us and Souths on Foxtel one day and my brother in law said to me "Oh I just watched your team getting stitched up by the ref!" I looked at him and deadpanned, "Pick a game! Any game!"..as Robbo said, its been happening against Easts for years now and to quote our friend Toovey "There has got to be an investigation into this!"

I'm not going to get myself steamed up over a round 4 game which has very little bearing on our current position but it was a sour night at the footy. On the bright side, I'm happy with the view from my new bay plus my bus home turned up on time. And Souths are sitting currently at 13th spot so look at the silver lining...

We get to do it all again on Friday against Canterbury..don't worry be happy...
