Other than that stupid shot, what's with his go forward recently? His been stopping and almost doing a slow goose step before the line, its really ineffective imo. His one of the biggest props in the games run hard son!

I actually agree with the OP.
Whilst everyone loves JWH and his aggression, and can't seem to fault him, he often seems to escape criticism on here. He has actually struggled this year to gain ground which is worrying considering he is supposed to be our forward leader. This is with the exception of the Parra game.
Stats are below:
7 hitups (63m) vs souffs
13 hit ups (135m) vs parra
10 hitups (74m) vs brisbane
8 hitups (64m) vs manly
A distinct trend I've noticed, this season and last, is that in games where the other forward pack stamps their authority early on and hit him hard, JWH seems to creep into his shell. He dominates games when we're on a roll on but it's his influence under adversity that can still be questioned IMO.
I would like to see him develop into a more consistent prop who gains regular 100m+ yardage regardless of the opposition.
I don't believe my opinion will be too popular considering the fans have one or two popular scapegoats.
Jennings and Maloney shouldn't escape criticism either. Especially Maloney.Last edited by Chook Norris; 03-29-2014, 09:32 PM.

Yeh JWH certainly hasn't been himself but it's early days the big fellas always take a little while to get into the season & he's not far off. Lack of possession is always going to be reflected in his stats too, it's been reflected in all the forwards yardage stats so far. Their tackle counts will tell a different story...
I actually think FPN has been our forward leader so far this year, that's sure to ruffle some feathers on here... we look best when he's on the field a taking the early hitups.Last edited by Rooster_6; 03-29-2014, 11:58 PM.

I read an article recently about JWH's weight. He said he's keen to drop a few kilos over the coming weeks. He mentioned the game is faster than last year's, so obviously his fitness is still a bit of an issue
as for
stats can be very misleading,
JWH HAS THE morley facter.

I didn't even research the stats till I wrote the post lol. I already formed my opinion beforehand
Anyone who has seen enough of our games can see that JWH is below his best. We are getting dominated in a lot of tackles and JWH hasn't stepped up to it this year
