FORMER Dragons front-rower Jason Ryles has returned home and will sign with the Roosters this week.
Ryles flew into Sydney last night and is awaiting a formal release from his contract with French Super league club Catalans before inking a two-year deal to play under Brian Smith.
The 30-year-old former Test and Origin front-rower ended eight seasons with St George Illawarra at the end of 2008 to link with the French club on a three-year $1.7 million deal.
His debut season ended with a shoulder injury and he was keen to return to the NRL.
