I'm not saying there is nothing in the stats. I'm not saying it hasn't pissed me off over the years. I'm not saying the club doesn't know or acknowledge the obvious.
It's just this is the exact sort of negative stuff that details teams. Whinging only upsets the whinger. It's a waste of emotion and becomes all consuming and a distraction.
I'm glad the club is taking the fark you stance.
IMO it's time as a supporter group we learn to embrace the hate.
It's what happens when you're strong, like our club is again. Everyone lines you up and try to take you down.
We have to harden the fark up.
Personally the pussy whinging pisses me off more than the penalty counts.
I need alcohol.
I'm fired up.
I reckon we will know the players intentions over the next few weeks. It can go either way. We can moan and make excuses and give in and lose games. Or we can stand up, like we did last year, give everyone the bird and JUST WIN BABY.
Easts.

I'm wit STSAE on this, embrace the hate, cut out our own silly penalties, change the refs perception of our team and how they prepare for our games ie the tip sheets and watch the tied turn and see us start to receive more penalties and be on the end of more favourable counts.
Whinging achieves nothing in my opinion, changing how we are perceived will only benefit our side

If you watch our games closely enough, its obvious we do give away alot of just plain dumb penalities, we are not denying that, but so do the other teams, and they rarely get pinged for them, this is our gripe, all we want is a fair shake of the penalties, nothing more. Our office needs also to show some balls, and kick up a stink, when it doesnt happen, they are letting the side and the fans down, when they mildly accept the treatment that is dished out to us. Basically, improvement all round in our disicpline, is badly needed.

I think they are doing the right thing here. Robbo has made his point and put it out there. Lets just see what happens.
In the end no matter how much we think we're being screwed by the refs, the players need to put it out of there heads and concentrate on footy, it worked last year. Too much focusing on the refs could end up being be detrimental to the team.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

I feel an agreement has been reached now that TR "outed the refs" last week.
The silence may result in a more even penalty count for a few weeks and then we may actually start winning a few. For transparency, a Rooster penalty count win could not be achieved this week, rather over a period of time.
Of course, all parties involved will say that the turn around was Trent's rave and this sparked the players to change their behaviours. In reality, the refs will change and Robbo will stay silent with his desired outcome achieved. TR knows how to play the corporate game.

A few say opposition fans don't care but I've found the opposite. I work in an office of over 120 people and everyone seems to know our penalty count. I had that many people coming up to me so far this week saying how we were royally ripped off and how well Trent spoke. My manager said he heard Trent on the radio and said he's a good people leader and sets a good example. The couple of Manly fans who dared open their mouths to me were quickly shut down when I congratulated them on the amount of Logies their team have been nominated for. Last year, I thought Manly worthy opponents of ours throughout the year but as I said to one guy, "You had me at hello last year, but you've lost my respect now". We'll come out of this smelling like a rose...and Manly, well they still smell like Manly.."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

I've heard zero support in the media for our plight. Opposition fans don't give a fark. The Reffs aren't being disciplined.
So what good will come out of whinging???
Afterall we won the comp last year being the worst penalised side in the comp.
There is little room to move from what I can see.
I'm glad the club is gonna show a tough attitude and just play thru the pain.
No more excuses.
Use it as motivation.
This is the smart way to proceed.

All I got told was that the chooks have always been ill-disciplined and I was a sook.
Now to sit back and wait for the pickles obligatory, un-funny remark...Last edited by Greedy666; 04-01-2014, 10:18 PM.

By saying less or nothing more we are saying all that needs to be said.
The coach said it all brilliantly.
There is no need to push the barrow any further IMO.
It's like a game of chess, politics as Axeman alludes to, we've made our move, let's see how they counter.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

And what about all the penalties we didn't receive that we should have...in the said Souths, Broncos, and Manly games?
What about Cummins' coaching of Manly and penalising us?
We just gonna forget about that? ...and take all the blame for the massively lopsided penalty counts against us?
Gee, the war didn't last long before we gave up.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
