FEATHERS have been ruffled at Bondi with Brian Smith landing his son Rohan a job at the Roosters.
He will coach the Roosters under-20s following the controversial axing of highly regarded Adrian Lam, who has since been hired by Wayne Bennett.
Not all in the chook pen are happy, with Smith Jr far from impressive in his stint coaching Tonga in the Pacific Nations tournament.
Some have suggested it might be a case of the father looking after the son but no one should be surprised by the move.
Rohan has spent the past couple of years at the Knights after he was appointed to a coaching role about the same time his dad was hired. He joined the Knights as an assistant coach in the lead-up to the 2007 season.
Before arriving in Newcastle, he spent four years as an assistant to Daniel Anderson at the Warriors and two years assisting Tony Rea at the London Broncos.
