  • Napa or Liu

    The big question this week?

    Who would you choose?

Personally I would choose Liu. He looked very controlled the other night, a quiet achiever! No nonsense.

    Liu for sure.

His footwork before the line is sublime for a front rower.

Napa has a lot of work to do on his go forward before he cements a place in first grade.

I would select Liu at this stage. Plus we desperately need some second phase play, which Liu offers

Liu definitely made a difference last week. Our front row will be much stronger with him in the mix while JWH and Moa are off the field.

Definitely Liu, I want the club to make sure they re-sign this guy and lock him up long term. He is definitely a keeper

No doubt Liu at this stage. A lot more agile and versatile with the ball than Napa. Napa has work to do in attack

Liu made a difference last week carting it up

A lot Napa's defensive efforts go unnoticed on here which isn't that surprising.

Personally I'd have both. I think the hard decision needs to be made on who to leave out between FPN, Guerra & Maubs.

I think most are aware of his defensive capabilities. But defence is only one half of the game. Liu is also a quality defender and does more to ensure we don't get bogged down when the starters are off.

I still think Casty will have a huge role to play, perhaps even at the expense of Liu.

I also agree that FPN can't play at prop as he has the workrate of a dole bludger, so tough decisions do indeed have to be made.

Because nobody can analyse a game like the almighty 6...

Nappa is still a kid let's remember.
He has shown enough defensively the last two years to see he is tough enough for first grade. Like most front rowers he will take time to develop. No doubt in 2 years he will be a beast on both sides of the ball. Give him time

Spot On - The difference between Frank Paul's efforts as a prop and a lock are massive. The third hit up is so different to one or two. He can no longer be played at prop. We need four genuine props in our 17. They have to make a decision to leave out a back rower and Guerra is the obvious one. Even though it will be hard for them to do it I really think the team balance will be better served without him.

It would be a tough choice to leave anyone out of the 17. All of these guys deserve a spot. However, we have really struggled to make meters this year and if we dont improve on this in the near future I think trent will have to tinker around with the rotation a smidge. Either way I have trust that TR will make the right ddecision
