I agree with Johnny Cash, and injuries permitting, I imagine that when Casty's fit one or both of the youngsters will find themselves at Newtown.

Whomever works harder between now and that time will be safe, I suspect.

I could be wrong, but I think many here could be placing a little too much faith in the Frenchman that is yet to play an NRL game...

I think Liu is ahead of Napa, Evans and Casty...

Slightly off topic - it is the exact situation with Sam Tomkins.

People rated him as a second coming of christ. Thus far he has been a sub-standard Benji Marshall circa-2013.

You're not wrong. It's no different to when people on here used to rant about Ryan Williamson. As far as I care, he's still in the same boat as Williamson. He is yet to play an NRL Game. He is unproven All this talk about how players will have to make way for him because he basically already warrants selection is ridiculous. Unfortunately, everyone loves a story

There's a small difference between the two. Williamson never made first grade, whereas Casty has played 180 odd first grade games, and is an international.

I think Napa and Evans should do the same, they are still very green.

Front rowers always need to be nurtured early. They have plenty of time.

I think Liu is a more accomplished player than both Evans and Napa.
As you refer to BM, front rowers usually take longer than other positions to come on.

Because of that, I really don't get the sudden massive rise of george burge$$?? Back in 2012, Napa and in particular Evans really stood out in the under 20's and would dominate the burge$$ boys, while george burge$$ was referred to by good judges as being "cumbersome".

Fast forward to 2013 and 2014, george burge$$ is now regarded as being one of the best props in the game at the young age of 21, while Evans has been lucky to play 3 games off the bench and has been nothing special. WTF happened??

I know that if I was forced into a situation where I was told that I had to put my life on whether george takes performance enhancing drugs or not, I would have to put my life on that 'he does' take performance enhancing drugs. Just take a look at his physique and his sudden 'huge' rise from one cumbersome year to the next year a superstar!!

The thing is though, if he is taking performance enhancing drugs, we will not find out for 5 or more years due to the masking agents that he would no doubt take. And that is based on if indeed he is drug tested with the random testing that gets done.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

I have been told that it is a myth that performance enhancing drugs shrink your genitalia.

                    You are so delightfully insightful!

Who are your sources? Who told you these things? Why doesnt the NRL drug test Burgess? The refs ripped us off from a GF win last year!

Regarding Casty: I liked what I saw in the WCC. I admit that with his performance there, plus Robbo's clear respect he has for him, I back him to make a significant difference.

Comparing Casty to Ryan Williamson is offensive to Robbo's judgment.

He brought him to the NRL because he rates the bloke highly and if he gets an injury free run he WILL play 15-20 games this year IMO.

Just wish that he would hurry up and get over his injury, this calf seems to be taking its sweet time to heal!

The fact that the past few weeks have been wet when games have been played could have been a factor in Casty not getting a run.

I'm sure the club is not keen to test his calf on a wet and slippery, sodden surface either for the Roosters or Newtown.

Whilst he may be used to the greasy conditions after his years in the ESL, they don't suit a bloke coming back from injury and with little or no match fitness. And there's no point in pushing him too hard this early in the season, and risk him causing more damage.

I'm sure he will prove his worth later into the season.

Comparing a 10 year veteran of the ESL and playing for his country with a rookie NRL player is like comparing apples and oranges. There aren't too many similarities.

I haven't seen enough of the Frenchman to pass any kind of judgement.

I will say that I rate Lui over Casty, Evans and Napa at this stage though.

                                Totally agree with that.

Williamson didn't have the ticker. There is no doubting the Frenchman, when it comes to ticker with the career he has had to date.

I just have my doubts that he has the talent and game to make an impact in the NRL.

Only time will tell if and when he gets a run.

I am happy to be wrong, but many here are making out we are waiting for this superstar to return from injury. My point is he has not played a game of NRL yet.
