  • Robbo faces a tough choice with the bench/teams up still no Casty anywhere

Roosters (1-13): Anthony Minichiello (c), Daniel Tupou, Michael Jennings, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Sam Moa, Boyd Cordner, Sonny Bill Williams, Frank-Paul Nuuausala

Bench (14-19): Daniel Mortimer, Aidan Guerra, Mitchell Aubusson, Dylan Napa, Kane Evans, Isaac Liu

geez Casty must have the worst calf injury in history did it in the WCC and still hasn't played 8 weeks later, Robbo faces a tough choice who to cull from the 6 men bench, not sure if Guerra/Maubs can both be on the bench when we are struggling for go forward.

I wonder if Robbo has considered going with only 1 hooker and beefing up the bench.

Hmmm Guerra might have to miss out this week. I'd definitely pick Liu and probably Napa over Evans, just.

I would choose Lui over Evans....Evans pretty slow in getting back to make repeat tackles and not running really hard to make the metres his size is capable of producing. Still a unit in progress.

Guerra to lock, Liu to the bench, FPN dropped.

a bit worried about this game, we aren't playing well and the Eels have nothing to lose, Robbo will likely go the tried and tested hoping that our attack can start to gel again

I expect a bench of Mortimer/Guerra/Maubs/Liu with the two young bulls Evans/Napa missing out.

            Why not Guerra/Maubs/Liu/Napa?

Because Morts hasnt missed a game for us since Robbo was appointed head coach.

Maubs, Guerra, Evans, Lui would be my bench, Napa'a hit ups have had limited impact and Morts is only getting 15 mins a match.

Lui was very good Friday night.

We are alot more dangerous with Friend on the field, Guerra and Maubs to take the defensive workload away from him.

Morts is usually fired up to play his former club, isn't he? I'd give him a run this week for sure. I thought he played well against them in rd 2.

it was noticeable when the important games rolled round Morts was only getting 7-10 minutes a match, the majority of teams we have faced this year have gone with 1 hooker and 4 forwards on the bench and have certainly been getting on top of us in the trenches.

If you think back you might remember he played a mjor role in us beating the Broncos?

Just because he has had two limited games in a row, the whole team has mind you, doesnt mean his time is up.

Robbo should be giving Morts a run @ Newtown in the halves, to get his match fitness up for the origin period..

This week, 9 of the 16 teams will be running with a 'utility' on their bench.

Sides such as Brisbane, Manly and the Bulldogs all have 80 minute hookers, whereas Friend is not.

Light benches can't win matches, like last season.

We need SuperMegaBosden back NOW as he can play anywhere and has always been a great option as a back up dummy 1/2.

This coach of ours has NFI.

Maybe it's time for Silly Sausage to don the clipboard with the great man, Newman, as director of coaching decisions and selections and other really really important stuff like email writing to the media.

                              You know it makes sense.
