I would take SKD over Ferguson every day of the week and twice on sundays. He is an honourable man who plays his heart out every week and has proven he'll bleed for his team mates.

Carney was a failure at our club. He put in a single good year, then went right back to being a drunken ****wit and completely decimated our side. Thankfully it at least led to a complete clean out of the deadwood and we got ourselves back on track with a very strict "NO DICKHEADS" policy. Why would we want to abandon that to chase the first wanker with some talent?

The Dugan never had violent tendencies towards women. Likes a drink and committed many a standard sin of youth (mostly all of the too much boozing variety).

I would question Robinson's hand in it. If we signed him I would blame one Nick Politis for sticking his nose in recruitment where it is not wanted or needed.

I would take Fergo over SKD every day of the week and a million times on game day!! The fact of the matter is that Fergo totally craps all over SKD when it comes to talent. I will grant you that SKD is a bloody terrific bloke and if I was asked who I would prefer to have a beer with than I would take SKD every day of the week. But I believe that yourself and certain others on here are letting your emotions rule your judgment because SKD is the nicer bloke. I want the player who is better placed to win us games of football, which is what it all comes down to, at least for me anyway and I'm sure many other Roosters supporters who are all about winning premierships.

Our club culture these days is as strong as you can get!! A single player like Fergo even if he was to go totally off the rails, would not as you put it completely f*** the entire club, as our club culture is far too strong to so meekly crumble like that! I find it very insulting that people can suggest that our club is so fragile and piss weak to be able to be brought down so easily as that! Anyway I strongly believe that Fergo would straighten his life out under the guidance of great people such as Robbo, JT, Fitzy, Canavan, Nick, Mini, JWH, Cords, Friend etc etc.

Carney did not single handedly decimate our club. Most of our players went off the rails as we had very poor leadership back then with Smiffy and Son, Elliot, Noyce, Bwaiff, Myles (who at the start of 2011 was told he was no longer wanted by the club so than couldn't give a f*** about the club as a result and lead others astray such as FPN) etc. It is just nice and easy for people to wrap it up into a nice little package and place all the blame onto one person. Carney had two terrific seasons at the sharks straight after us, and it is only this year with the combination of injury, his mentor coach Flannagan being sacked and the whole ASADA dramas that the sharks have had to deal with, that has stuffed Carney. I feel for the guy with what he has had to go through.

I also feel for Fergo who has had a really shit up bringing with having a dead beat for a father. You and some others on here can throw stones at him all you like and wish the worst for him, but I hope even if he doesn't come to our club, that he gets his life sorted out! Also people like yourself on here like to turn a blind eye to all the good things he has done like with the charity work that he does.

Fergo does not have violent tendencies towards women, that is for people such as teo and greg inglarse who are women bashers unlike Fergo!! Comparing Dugan to Fergo is a spot on comparison. I had a tremendous laugh at your suggestion that if we sign Fergo that it will be all because of Nick and nothing to do with Robbo!! That is too funny!! Again that is any easy fob off to lay the blame conveniently somewhere else for something that doesn't go the way you like. The big problem I see with yourself and some others on here is that you are still stuck living in the era of 2009-2012. We are now in 2014 and it couldn't be any more different!!

That's the way I remember it as well Danish, that Politis has been the instigator of any would be merger with the Drag Queens. Didn't he push for one with the Vermin at one stage as well (which would have been basically a takeover by Easts).

Nick Politis is an extremely generous man when it comes to the Chooks - but geez he's made some hgih profile clangers recruitment wise. There is no hiding that fact.

I think some on here didn't actually watch the grand final TCB. His dad was at our local shops on the Tuesday after the grand final just after taking Shaun to hospital for the painful surgery he had to go through after what he put his body through. RWB I noticed exactly 'everything' that went on last year! SKD was bloody shocking at times last year, utterly embarrassing in a few games and then in the last 6-8 games he was average but bearable by at least limiting the errors and missed tackles. He was still 'far far' away from anything remotely brilliant!! It seems that SKD being average and at least limiting his errors and missed tackles is acceptable. You guys lower the bar for him so low that it is child's play to walk over.

Yourself and some others on here seem more than happy to be held to ransom by SKD for his effort of being able to play on with a broken jaw, and allow him to just cruise through for the rest of his career at our club by being an average player. Yes I have mentioned many times now that it was outstanding for him to play on with a broken jaw, very courageous stuff for which I am grateful for. But you need to move on from that now a judge him on his weekly performances on the field. It was a huge welcome relief for him to have a great game against the sharks. Putting things into perspective though, those types of performances are unfortunately all too few and it was against a team majorly struggling at the bottom of the ladder. What I want is those types of performances on a regular basis, the problem is it doesn't happen otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation.

For me there is a difference between what Fergo did/allegedly did (I add the alleged part because none of us were there to see exactly what happened and no one can honestly say that they could get a clear view of what happened on that extremely poor video footage), compared to what teo and greg inglarse did which is straight out punch women which I find the most piss weak cowardly dog act a man can do!!

You are right RWB when you say I don't know what it is like to be female, I do though know what it is like to be on the receiving end of unwanted attention as I was stalked by a 16 year old girl one time all because I said hello to her as she walked past my place and she stopped for a brief conversation. The thing is though RWB, I don't think you know what it is like to be at nightclubs. Nightclubs are mainly about people with $ex on their mind. Women go to them dressed to attract attention otherwise they wouldn't go there and dressed as they do. I have been to nightclubs where women just start groping at my crutch. This is quite a few times, sometimes when I have barely spoken to them for 5 minutes (for which you can hardly hear each other over the loudness of the music anyway), and other times when I have simply smiled at them, and a couple of times just dancing or even standing at the bar. I won't lie to you RWB, I loved it every time because to me that is what nightclubs are about, they are a meat market.

You and several others on here are backing yourselves into a corner if/when Fergo comes to our club. You say that our coach is far too cerebral to want him. What will you say then about Robbo if he welcomes Fergo with open arms? Will you continue to support the club? I certainly hope that people such as yourself, JFC, Danish and TCB do continue on supporting the club. I can't say the same about two other particular blokes on here though and can't wait to see their reactions!!

Oh well I am going to leave it at that for now until we have confirmation of what club he is going to. It will be good to keep the peace with you RWB as I know there is nothing worse than a women scorned!

There's no 'allegedly' about it RO, he was charged and convicted. Ergo, we would be signing a convicted sex offender. You can just imagine the queue at fan days, hundreds of people waiting to get a photo of him with their daughter......

You go on about SKD being below par.....that could also be a description of 6 out of the 7 seasons Ferguson has been a first grader. A lot of games, he's been average at best - a real knock on machine.

The main difference between the 2 is that SKD is RWB through and through, whereas ferguson has proved in the past that he has no loyalty. Remember him walking out on the Sharks after 2 seasons because he 'wanted to win trophies'?

Sometimes, it's not just about winning football games, although we haven't done too badly on that front in the last 12 months with the current squad....including you know who.
