Nope, dont mind constructive criticism, there were posts in that thread that were critical but atleast they had a point, these ones are just flat out death riding.

Nice post Roosterman. You just have to accept though that all fans are different. It seems wierd to me too, but some fans (or people in life actually) are just very focused on the negative. It's just the way it is.

You'd think they'd forgotten we won the comp last year, or that we're only a quarter way through the comp... And that we were in all the games we lost this year

There are differences of fans and yes there are some 'death riders' in here eagerly waiting for either Mini or SKD to make a mistake so they can be first to post something derogatory about them. Meanwhile when they do something good, you can hear the silence in the room. I question their intentions.

I've never quite understood what value it adds by people criticising and belittling player performances. The only purpose I think it serves really is to make the critic feel better themselves. So because of that it will continue unfortunately.

The unconditional fan exists but doesn't get the same airplay. They are what most great sporting teams are built on however.

I do laugh at the old _"they are just being passionate" line though.

Yes, I know, but when I watch a Roosters game, I'm usually a nervous wreck, so I can at least understand others making comments like these in the heat of the moment. I agree that the comments are over the top, but you can see it is pure emotion - one minute we're pathetic wooden spooners and the next we're gutsy winners.

Lots of stupid things get said here, but I am more tolerant of comments made in these circumstances.
