Week in week out many here stick the knife in our team, yesterdays game day thread was a joke, never have i seen people death ride like some of you on here, you claim to "Support" your team? "SUPPORT" your team? "S U P P O R T"!

I love it! If you got no radio or tv, it gives you the pure frustration of a fan at the match, and if they give credit when credit is due, and appreciate the win from the team at the end, its all good.

Nice post Roosterman. You just have to accept though that all fans are different. It seems wierd to me too, but some fans (or people in life actually) are just very focused on the negative. It's just the way it is.

You'd think they'd forgotten we won the comp last year, or that we're only a quarter way through the comp... And that we were in all the games we lost this year

i resent you accusations, i went to the game, sure a bit dissapointed at some of our defence even more dissaponuited at how far our toddie has dropped in standard, very glad hes gone now! but shocked at how much nulla lift with gal in the side! ithink too much needless kicking to a wing nolonger containing the tall wonder toups, still got a sore voice from cheering skid on both times , by the way when he lost it it was stripped should have been a penalty two men involved!
of course 9if we play to that standard next friday the merge might lap us but i feel well lift even more, we prefer the winning circle!

i love my team and i find it irritating that people will throw insults at our own players, telling them to "**** off" and calling them "Spastics" and "Retarded". I understand people get upset when losing but childish stuff like this should be highlighted and i thought it was time to show these people how silly they sound.

PD, you should have seen the specimen a girlfriend and I got stuck next to last year at the Manly semi. Luckily there was one spare seat between us but he kept bouncing around like he had ADHD. He was from my generation but kept pestering me because apparently I was not nervous enough for his liking. Apparently because I was sitting calmly enjoying our team's tough gritty performance without swearing, hand wringing and dramatic gestures worthy of a NIDA graduate, I could not have been that into the game... Honestly, to drown him out, I had to put my ipod on to Whitesnakes Greatest Hits!

Whilst I agree with you in many respect on these fans that continuously put down the team imagine what you and any other fan s would be saying
at the game? The only difference is that many of the comments you highlighted are what one would normally say at the g round. Nothing wrong with saying "soft soft" when they let a soft try in. What I agree with you are those that have an agenda to put individuals down week in/week out.

Roosterman mate...I said as long as it is not too offensive. You need learn to read the posts more carefully before you shoot...that should be in the rulebook too.

If someone calls someone a retard at the game I would tell them to zip it, I have on countless times, in my younger days my mates always thought it was entertaning whenever I told a drunken idiot off, as I used to take my kids to the ground when they where very young....but the deathriding such as 'we are doomed', destined for the spoon, 14th,15th each to their own.

I've already stated that I don't mean half the shit I write. And i realise i make a fool of myself.

Of course we won't win the spoon ... that's just frustration.

Bottom line is I'm a mess during games and my way of dealing with it is to vent online. Even if it makes me look like knob, which it probably does.

I've you don't like it then work on some ways of dealing with it yourself.
