Would leave a huge hole if lost, Morts needs to be involved in more creative attack during his game time. Easts would grow another leg if Morts was used properly..

Daniel Mortimer was, is and forever will be a halfback. Shoehorning him into a part time hooking role has to rank up there with putting John Simon in the same role.

Gee I know I don't want Morts in our top 17 but I certainly don't see the need to execute him.

He has played very limited football at half back in his career. Your assertion is completely wrong. As a junior he played predominantly at 5/8th even when he was at Orange as a kid. In Parra's 20's he played 6. When he came into grade he played 6. He has been a 6 most of his life and has generally struggled at half back because he lacks the all round game to be a good half. His main assets are his support play and his speed off the mark. He has an average kicking game, and an average passing game.

Agree, I don't expect many clubs to be knocking on his door to get him over to play as a starter. I think we have found his role as a first grade footballer.

Okay, as 5/8th, and James Maloney at half.

Lets have two 5/8ths and no half back and see how that goes.....
