  • so is it Morts or Hastings to replace Maloney

unfortunately it seems that Maloney is going to be on the sidelines for a while with a grade 2 AC joint injury in his right shoulder.

the question is who does Robbo call on to replace him Morts or young Hastings, both are goal kickers, one is the future of the club the other a bench utility that has just lost his spot in the top 17.

with the origin period looming it is likely we will see both of them together soon enough, the question is who gets the first call up to replace Maloney.

4 to 6 weeks for a Grade 2 could see Maloney ruled out of Origin. Morts will replace him for us. Heaps of time to blood Hastings in the future. Don't be surprised to see him blooded out wide to start with either, much like Jack Wighton was with the Raiders

I'd like SBW but unfortunately that leaves us without a goal kicker.

Goal kicking will be a worry with Maloney out.

SBW has been pretty average this year, has been making plenty of handling errors.

Trent said in the press conference he doesn't think either injury is too serious. Maybe pulled them early to avoid city v country.

Robbo is never going to give away info on injuries, it was Maloney himself who confirmed the nature of his injury.

as for Jennings he wasn't mobile enough to make it back onto the field for the photo with the Anzac trophy so there must be some concerns about the nature of his injury.

SBW, like the rest of the team, has been building slowly.

                        I certainly wouldn't say he's been average.

The suspension has inhibited his ability to gain continuity.

Apart from that he's building into the season just fine. Played well today imo. Great offload leading to our second try.

Is Langi not another option also; also a kicker?

Langi has been pretty ordinary playing for a Newtown side that is getting lapped most weekends, not sure he is going to be in the mix.

Well I guess we should all slit our wrists and assume the worst.

Jenko would probably have been holled up with an ice pack doesn't mean he has some high grade syndesmosis.
