With you on the 3 points Chook!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Cordner. He was exceptional last night. He pushed through the line all night and was never dominated. Brilliant in defence as usual. Delivered the pass before the line for SBW who gave it to Maloney for a Jennings try. Scored one himself. Maybe just cos he didn't play 80 mins as usual I guess.

Also thought Tupou, JWH, Moa and Friendy where awesome last night. RTS is almost in there but the dropped bomb did overshadow a great game for him a little bit. Personally I would prefer a "pretty fast" player that can make a 70m break and set up the team for an attacking play than a super quick player who can't make it past the first line of defence. On Moa and Friend, they are simply the personification of consistency. Never have a poor game. And certainly more than solid. You need to be better than solid to get MOM.

Thought it was a shame Liu dropped those two balls cold cos he was great with his go forward working up the field, made some big big runs. Napa made good metres each run as well I thought. We certainly dominated their pack and teams have found that pretty difficult so far this season.

Before and at contact SBW was his best so far and that shows in his stats but he really push push some silly passes last night. He's getting back towards that dominance though and if he keeps focusing on his lines before his ball playing and offloading he will get back to his best very soon.

The Herald seems to think that Sonny-Bill was best of the field.

For mine, Sonny needs to concentrate on breaking the line and not pushing the pass so much. I thought he played a bit immaturely last night.

Moa or Cordner or Guerra were stand outs.

Mini was good last night apart from that one dropped ball. It was Minis fault he overan the guy with the ball.

I must have watched a different game, I thought Jake Friend was the best in a bad game.

Yet on this thread you say Mini had a solid game. On another you say that Mini was no where near a MOM performance, but if he had a 'solid' game like you say here, wouldn't that be a genuine MOM contender, especially since collectively it was a woeful game? I'm not tracking your comments but after reading them in threads I have also participated, I find your opinions inconsistent however there is consistency when it comes to making negative comments on Mini, week in, week out.
As for my opinion on RTS, well last night he had a few mistakes, for someone we're going to be relying on for a few years. Obviously it was the bomb he dropped, then he made a break in the first and when he came 1 on 1 with the fb, he just chocked and submitted so easily. Where was the side step? Then in the second he gets caught by a midget when we all think that RTS had speed to burn. I'm sure he dropped it again. I like RTS but I am believing that fullback and in defence he may not turn out what we are hoping him to be.
BigMikeNewman has a stiffy for RTS.

And an Innie whenever he sees Mini play well.

I can still see why the coach re-signed Mini, RTS is so green it's not funny.

RTS had a mixed game. The pass behind Mini, and it was thrown behind him, was from RTS. He has brilliant footwork and fast feet but isn't fast over 50. Double Steamer is the opposite, takes a bit to wind up but in the clear is hard to run down. RTS can sure drop a bomb every week. But he also can do stuff very few players can dream of. Every week we catch a glimpse of brilliance.

I floated the idea that I could see him end up at 6 eventually and I stand by that but I believe he will play FB first, the roles are very similar these days. His defence is good for his size, I'm sure he could handle being in a couple in the line.

I'd still would like to look at Double Steamer at the back. I reckon he'd kill it.

              Mini was MOM IMO.

              BigMikeNewman is minisworstnightmare.

              The end.

Nah mate RTS threw that ball behind Mini.

And it's usually Minis go, overrunning the inside ball, but in that case he was well behind RTS and as a winger deserves the pill out in front of him, so he doesn't lose momentum having to slow down to catch a ball thrown behind him.

$BW did the opposite to PearceOrf. Floated a soft ball that should have hit his chest. Still was catchable.

We played as well as we needed to to win. As JFC said in another thread we use the "gears" better than any team. The shit teams sometimes we shit down and play like them but the big occasion teams we will match them and never be out of the contest.

The tougher the challenge or occasion the better we play.

It's a great position to be in at this stage of the season IMO.

NRL star Greg Inglis is the subject of a federal investigation after it was revealed he was paid up to $90,000 a year to act as an ambassador for the Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS).

MOMichael Jennings. Can someone name a better centre that ever played for us? I would not swap him for any player in any position. Obviously a smart man at the Panthers thought the same thing by putting him on that huge contract. Gus was wrong about the value of Jennings. God bless his soul

Cordner, tupou then friend for me. Maloney was also good.

Leaving the game I thought Sbw was terrible, but seeing his stats and then seeing his involvement in many breaks on replay, I have to re-assess. Looks like Sbw has taken the rocks and diamonds persona off skids who has been very consistent of late!!!

Tbh, looks like the chooks are finally starting to ramp things up. Their execution was just way off last night. Their talent got them home - not their application.

I love AV as well - his acceleration is awesome but Mark Harris and John Brass were two better centres IMHO

But if mini was deeper the pass would have been perfect, don't these guys know exactly where someone else is going to throw the ball !!!!
