That is nothing but speculation. It also doesn't allow for the poor influence he could have on the youngsters. If SBW was still going to be around as a guiding influence I might say its worth a shot.

Some of you forget what an impact one negative figure can make on a teams performance. Remember the latter days of Nate Myles?

Apparently we want him as a Rooster this year.

The Sydney Roosters have asked the NRL to consider registering a contract for Blake Ferguson before June 30 this season, claiming they can help get the ex-NSW winger’s life back on track.

De-registered since the Canberra Raiders tore up his contract last September, the Roosters believe in the right environment with strong discipline Ferguson deserves a second chance at trying to make a career in the NRL.

Ferguson was charged and found guilty of indecent assault in Cronulla last year, with Sutherland Court handing him a two-year good behaviour bond in February.

The Sunday Telegraph has learned Roosters chief operating officer Brian Canavan has met with NRL chief operating officer Jim Doyle to discuss the governing body’s stance on registering a contract for Ferguson.

Can I remind people that Greg Inglis was in a very similar situation to Ferguson after he was found on the receiving end of illegal payments as well as facing charges for assaulting his woman and look how he turned out.

Ferguson can get his head in the right spot and we can benefit from that IF we take the chance on him now as he won't be on the market for long that I can guarantee.

He won't be expensive and he has unlimited potential. Welcome Blake.

            Chook.

                  Welcome Blake

SBW is getting into his head, sorting him out & preparing him for the roosters culture

He will have come very cheap & we all agree there is a mountain of potential in him

It it's true, his woman could be the biggest factor in all of this so the best of luck to both because if that's sorted our club will benefit.

You can never have enough match winners and I know for a fact uncle Nick is keen on signing a couple of big outside backs he's a little concerned we can get belted coming off our line ie Mini in rd 1.

sometimes you ask for A (June 30) expecting B (2015 contract)...
                          Sometimes you are surprised

Not a very good look today with our guarantee we have the right environment for Fergo at the club, and Pearce getting arrested

I'm all for giving folks a second, even third chance - Friend being a great example. However, there is a HUGE difference between drug and alcohol 'misdemeanors' and Blake's unprovoked sexual assault.

On top of that, his attitude throughout the entire ordeal has been atrocious - the most narcissistic display i've ever seen from a footballer tbh - and our leaders SBW and Minichello wont be here next year to keep him in line.

I'd prefer to keep Jennings, SKD and Moga any day of the week over this scumbag.
Agree wholeheartedly. I don't care how good a player he is, I don't want him at our great club. As a female I am appalled at his disgusting behaviour and the lack of contrition he has shown on the whole issue.
