Pearce's little indiscretion overnight will guarantee Ferguson won't be a Rooster.

He is a gun, a match winner!!! I love East's wether they are winning or losing, but let's cut the shit we all want to follow a successful side. Would you rather win a GF with BF in the side or come runners up without him?? We all know the answer and if you say otherwise you are a liar or simply don't like success! Don't bother saying success is measured in different ways, success is measured by the number of GF's you win

Are you suggesting the Roosters would have second thoughts about Ferguson because of Pearce's indiscretion? Or that the NRL would decide that the Roosters are incapable of rehabilitating Ferguson because of Pearce's indiscretion?

Of course I want to win GFs. I also don't want a repeat of 2009 when we were always in the papers for the wrong reasons! It was the only time I was truly embarrassed to be a chook's fan. BF has a history of destroying the culture of a club. He is a complete tool who only thinks of himself. This is the guy who went out drinking a few days before a big origin game.

That's a perfectly valid argument, mightyrooster.

But I believe our culture is strong enough to handle and reform a problem child. Losing SBW and Mini will weaken our leadership, however, and this must be taken into account.

I suppose there is a minor resemblance to the Swans who have a very strong culture, but went out to get a bad boy in Lance Franklin. Now BFs indiscretions are worse than Franklins, but the fears of weakening the culture of the club are the same.

They appear to be doing pretty well atm, though.

Ultimately I'll trust the powers that be who have made EVERY correct decision over the past 18 months.

'We' did alright without him last year. There is more to a premiership and success than just one player. Would the Roosters have won without SBW - who knows? Would the Roosters have won in 2010 with Carney but not Brian Smith? In my opinion as good as Ferguson is I don't think we need him to win another premiership.

I think we can all agree that we hold a lot of respect for Trent Robbo's judgement. BF would be no chance of coming here if Trent did not want him.
BF is a #ickhead, no doubt. But Im prepared to back the coach who must believe he can turn him around.

with these new allegations coming out about Pearce we are no hope of getting the NRL to re-register Fergo

Our culture wasn't strong enough for, carney, watts, myles. Im not sure where it has become common knowledge that we have a great culture or that any club's is better or worse than ours. In the end it is up to the player 90%, club 10%.

I think a club culture filters from top down.

Sure you need strong characters in the playing group. That's obvious.

But it all starts with a commanding coaching presence ... a figure that demands respect. See Hasler, Bellamy, Belichick, Sir Alex...

The players had no respect for Smiffy so they went off the rails. A coach is also responsible for getting rid of the deadwood. Something Robbo did by offloading the likes of Leilua, Masoe, Tasi.

What do you do when your coach is playing knock and run drunk around a hotel complex,

Robbo is finding out know bout the 2nd yr syndrome.

Signing Ferguson will end badly for the club.

The papers will absolutely hound him from day 1. The tele will have their goon squad of photographers following him around just waiting for him to slip up, and slip up he will.

I trust Trent, however I wouldn't trust that this was his decision. On top of which while Trent has been proven to be able to develop a killer game plan and get players working to it, we haven't really seen how good (or bad) his recruiting strategies are just yet given he it still effectively working with an inherited squad
