    I think the most disturbing part is the fact that the media don't even realise that it's their beaten up, fallacious & insinuating articles that are damaging the game, not Mitchell Pearce's actions. Sure Pearce was drunk and acting a little rowdy... we've all been there but he clearly didn't do a whole lot wrong. Certainly nothing that deserved 1 tenth of the coverage this story got & certainly nothing if reported on ethically and correctly would've brought any real negative attention to the game.

    Paul Crawley wrote an article this morning that read;

    But rugby league’s image is again under fire after the Blues’ State of Origin star was exposed in embarrassing vision aired on Channel 9 on Monday night.'
    I'm sorry, what? The only thing that video exposed was how over the top the media coverage was of this whole incident, not that you should expect the media to own up they live in a bubble where they only ever call for accountability never themselves do they accept it. They're so delusional as to how much they're damaging the game it truly is disturbing. The funny part of it all is in a couple of weeks time after slandering his (Pearce's) name I bet you the same reporters will want to hear from Mitchell Pearce after SOO and if he chooses not to do interviews with the same unethical reporters who slandered his name they'll whinge about how the media just give, give, give & the players don't care about good of the game.

    It's a little upsetting to see some of our fans have the default stance of guilty instead of backing Pearce & the club until proven otherwise but given the recent history at the club I reckon this has opened up a few old wounds. Now it's time to back the club & back Pearce & stop feeding the troll that is the media.

              I thought after seeing the footage that Pearce probably said something to the women that she didn't like because from the footage I saw Pearce never touched the women in the yellow dress.
              Im thinking that she then went & told the cops who were in the club that Pearce had said something condescending. From the footage that I saw the 2 Police officers involved were 1 male & 1 female & maybe Pearce swore or repeated the condescending comment much to the dislike of the female officer who has then pulled rank & ordered that Pearce be ejected.
              Pearce may of thought that the whole thing was a over reaction & due to frustration became arguementive which then caused him to be arrested.
              I must admit Pearce doesn't seem to be in any sort of intoxicated state to me.

              I don't think it will harm his chances of becoming captain.

                To think that a true legend of the game passes away and the media choose to dominate there pages with this story.
                Reg Gasnier should have had a 5-10 page tribute plastered all of the papers the other day not a couple of paragraphs down the bottom corner. Absolutely disgusting decision by all media outlets to chose to cover the Pearce 'incident' and I say that lightly because what has been reported and the footage shown is hardly that at all.

                  Holy shit, that's a lot of speculative bollocks.

                    So very true but the gutter Telecrap doesn't think like that. Remember at the start of the year and Paul Kent was whinging about players not talking to their journos and promoting the game? Hilarious isn't it!

                      Can't you tell it's Origin time again. The media are on the look out to derail the Blues again, have you noticed this happens every year. Is this the only way to get him out of the team?
                      What did Mitchell do that was so wrong?
