2GB radio news this morning is saying that it lookes like Pearce will be dumped from Origin.

"Laurie Daley is reconsidering choosing Mitchell Pearce as his Origin halfback".
Aren't there more selectors than Daley?
It might not be Daley's decision re Pearce...at least for game 1.

If they decide to drop Pearce I can understand Maloney going too but surely Jennings and Cordner will be safe, least of all given the alternatives for these two! If Daley starts not picking players for Origin due to their behaviour, threre will be slim pickings in a year or two. If you have a look through the NSW team it is littered with blokes who have had incidents with alcohol in the past - Hayne, Bird, Gallen, Jennings, Dugan, Tamou, Watmough just to name a few.

And he wonders why the team has a drinking culture?? Far out, he started back in his day and has been the norm since. Good luck with changing that.

I assume he won't be picking Brett Stewart or Jorge Tafua either, as they have blotted copybooks as well. And of course Ferguson will never play for the Blues again.

Daly and that idiot Fulton should consider the recpercussions of being so judgmental when selecting - once they set a precedent they'll be expected to follow it in future, which means a fair few very talented players may not fit their selection criteria due to off field indiscretions. And of course if they don't follow it in future, they will be shown to be two faced hypocrites.
