SBW is a myth...

He basically won us the GF [with some help from his friends].
Without him it's very likely Manly would now be wearing the Premiers crown.

I believe he was the difference when we were down 8-18.

This season is different...other teams have improved, some a lot.
And other coaches have worked us out...every little bit of us.

Last season the players had SBW's work and life ethics.
This season they've strayed from that and we have what we have.

Coach Robinson said at the start of the season that what we did last year would not be good enough this year...that we'd have to re-invent ourselves...which as yet has not happened.

The Eels sit 3rd on the ladder, they've re-invented themselves. [and got the penalties 7-1 against us at their home game until the game was 'over'.]

WE Have to agree with you there, he's embarrassed himself this season with his under performing efforts, he thinks he's back playing union. We ought to make him play for Newtown next week, it'll be more his speed.

There was some tongue in cheek with my statement but also some truth mate BB.

Hope I am wrong but does SBW put two good seasons together in the NRL?? Remember 2005 nope, 2007 or 2008 nope. Great player but people on here last year were proclaiming the second coming of Jesus with SBW. Some were saying the greatest player to put on the RWB (Blahblahblah), no doubt he is a fantastic footballer and possibly a big reason for our success last year but it is a team game and other factors got us the premiership as well.

I hope he proves me wrong and can help drag the rest out of the mire....Artie would have, Freddy did (as a player not as a coach), Mcgahan couldn't with less, Hastings performed week in week out no matter what....atm SBW is not performing and even looks to be not trying or caring enough.

The guy is probably the most talented footballer (in either code of Rugby) I have ever seen lace on a boot.....but he is playing like a myth and has been like that since the World Club Challenge. He had no preparation last year and set the world on fire pretty much from round 2 or 3. This season it appears the hunger has gone and I think his mind could be getting distracted about Rugby and the World Cup in the UK next year.

I honestly hope I am wrong but at the moment to any new fan to the game in 2014 the bloke is a myth...

Not a myth...just not playing as well as last year.
Heavily marked ... other coaches have worked out who our match-winners are.
The rules of the game have changed...they had to change the rules to beat us, a compliment.

Personally, I think he basically wore himself out last season.
He came in with a bang from the much slower and much easier RU...and gave his all, finding NRL faster and much tougher on his body.

Our team is different this year, as is the game...it's even harder and faster than last year.
