  • Todd "Roosterman" McNamara

I was going on a flight to Coffs on Monday and who should I see loading my bag onto the plane for Qantas?

    The one and only.

Said a quick hello on the way up the stairs.

It's a mystery for me that he seems to have brushed the club.

    Nice bloke.

I have a lot of time for him.

He was good at doubles, but always a little weak when playing singles...

The club brushed him first - time heals things though and Toddy goes to matches again nowadays, he'll always be a Rooster.

                  Absolutely.

Still see Toddy every once in a while during games.Last time I saw him was the Tigers game at the SFS last season(the 1st one which was their home game) and he was in the chookpen.

Tod is mad, but good mad.
I remember him refereeing us down at Queens Park once and it was so funny

How does a club brush a supporter?

Did they stop picking him for the half time entertainment and start picking mario or something?

Toddy did the on ground pre-match entertainment and sponsor announcements for a couple of seasons at the start of the decade/end of last decade and there was a falling out over money. I can't recall the exact details, but I'm pretty sure Easts agreed to something then suddenly replaced him late in the piece. (and I recall the next on ground guy wore a stupid hat and had a really annoying voice)

I'm sure someone else on here remembers what actually happened.

Why are you so negative and agro these days Danish?

You could end up like Teenage Terrorist on the other forum!

I want the old Danish back!

                            HoLLuS! Heeeeeeeelp!

                            Re Todd:

They gave him a start as an official match day crowd warmer and got him involved with all the club promotions.

Unfortunately after just one season they replaced him without so much as a "By your leave."

Your spot on there Elo, the club dumped Todd because they thought he was too bogan to do the ground announcing and sponsors stuff.

there are probably more indepth reasons like money and politics, but we don;t need to go into that.

They then replaced him with the knob cheese they call Michael "Sydney" O'Neil, if you remember he was "famous" for sitting in the front window of the old Sydney Brashers store on Pitt St for the whole duration of the Atlanta Olympics.

Thankfully they dumped him and replaced him with Max Bowen, again like Todd a true Rooster (tats and all to prove it) but with the experience of announcing sports (League & rugby tests, Sydney Olympics and previous stints on sydney radio), he was with us for a couple of years until, again money and politics came into it and the roosters dumped him, he was out working at parra doing their ground announcing.

We then get Alex dean from Vega 96.1, he was a wolf in sheeps clothing, he was a parra supporter. he was dumped after 2 seasons.

So now, to my knowledge, we have no one doing Ground announcing except luke in the broadcast box.
