(and I recall the next on ground guy wore a stupid hat and had a really annoying voice)
I'm sure someone else on here remembers what actually happened.
Oh ok cool, I remember him. He did the ground announcing at the grand final and origin a few times as well then went to the tigers after the roosters shafted him.
Had a little boy in 2005 or something if I recall?
I thought we were just talking about some bloke who sat in the Pen

Re Todd:
They gave him a start as an official match day crowd warmer and got him involved with all the club promotions.
Unfortunately after just one season they replaced him without so much as a "By your leave."
The state of our club makes me cranky

He asked for more money and got punted
Every one knows Uncle Nick is old fashioned -hire monkeys pay peanuts ....and they wonder why the club is going down hill.
I can remember telling Politis 3 .5 years ago that he needed to get a high end marketeer on board as i saw the slip from Grace could have a permanent effect on the clubs profile mind you the comb over idiot laughed at me..........look at what they are doing now.
Its too late we are ****ed no matter what we will be gone before Souffs.
This kills me but a 50/50 merger with Souffs is inevitable
or dissapear. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Fact: football club members (that attend the AGM & vote) is capped at 200 due to this ridiculous constitution. The only way to get onboard is to wait until someone drops off and then the next cab off the rank gets on.
Fact: the majority of the 200 members are made up of ex-players & officials because the registration form requires 2 current members to endorse you, therefore it will always be an exclusive sanctum without any real threat to the existing hierachy.
Fact: good luck making enquiries re: becoming a football club member. From mine and others experiences, i guarantee you that the football club personnel will give you the run around so as to give you the poops and hopefully you'll grow frustrated and just forget about it.
Fact: Parramatta, Souths & Bulldogs clubs once operated under similar constitutions but changed it to encourage fans on board. Since the change, each club has had well publicised elections and football board changes.
I'm not advocating for a current board change but i'm very concerned that passionate supporters like myself will not get their opportunity to have a say or vote on crucial matters i.e merging, name/brand change, relocation etc... because we're effectively being blocked out

Neither you or I will ever be able to change this whilst our current board members investment and influence remains...
Every board member wanting re-election at our club has been reappointed un-opposed for the past 12 years...

You state that the constitution that these protected species operate under is "ridiculous", and all the points you've made suggest these guys run a closed shop and try to avoid any notion of accountability.
Then you say "I'm not advocating for a current board change"
Why not?

Nick and the Board should be busting their arses securing sponsorships etc rather than getting involved in football operation matters. Supporting Noyce and his team is also paramount.

Hugh McGahan was highly respected until he landed in hot water a couple of years ago for dodgy dealings.
How about....Ian Rubin who has four milk runs or Fletch who owns a cleaning
business???...........only joking but get my point.
On the other hand, Ron Coote and Kevin Junee once served on the board and did a fine job.
