Absolute crap, when teams start losing rumours start appearing but the answer is usually plain and simple, they're out if form.

Lets face it our two worst performers compared to last season have been $BW and Baloney.

When we needed to ice a game last year more often than not between them both something materialised.

IMO they look like they are trying almost too hard, it's just not coming off as it did last season.

They also don't seem to be combining like they did last season, usually $BW ball to put Baloney thru a gap.

Nothing's ever simple on forums. It's never just poor form. It's always a rift.

No one really knows.

In brighter news, none of the Newmans seem to have bagged Mini for a few weeks.

And anyone in that privileged position surely isn't going to race onto the muthafunkinpen to tell us all the goss.

I know some here have the inside running on what is happening before its announced. And some are often involved behind the scenes and know more than the average fan.

But only those who are with them every day truly know what is going on.

And when it comes to a bloke like $BW, whom I suspect plays it pretty close to his chest, maybe no one truly knows what's going on in his head.

Forums are rife with rumours. And sometimes people get it right. But often that's more luck than actual inside knowledge.

Expectations unfulfilled. The first defence is to look beyond form and find the deeper meaning.

A lot of ego comes with the forums.

Hopefully in this case it's just a few searching a little too hard for the answer.

And a return to form can squash the rumours.

But, The famous Boggs teams especially of the 80s, some of the womanly teams even and many more I'm sure have contained players and egos that have hated either other members of the squad or the coach or both.

And still won multiple comps.

Plenty of teams who have been 'tight' have failed also.

It's human nature to look for answers, especially when expectations haven't been met.

After last season most here expected us to be better.

What wasn't factored into those expectations is everyone else's improvement, loss of form, lack of motivation after success, just to name a few possible reasons for our patchy performances.

There has to be something in the fact no one has gone back to back for more than 20 years.

That's despite womanly and Melba and even our dominance (00-04) in that period.

So what do humans do???

Look for the magic bullet.

Look maybe they are right and I'm wrong.

I accept that.

Won't change the results or my undies though.

For the last 10 years or more the NRL has continued to make significant rule changes and interpretations each season which makes going back to win consecutive premierships even more of a challenge.

When the team is not playing well but the players are smiling and laughing they are said to not care but when they are not playing well and looking down they are said to be going through a rift. None of us truly know what is or isn't going on between the players and whether any potential rift is just a professional healthy competition between players or not.

I sometimes would get upset at my brother but it doesn't last long. It's best not to get wound up with rumours and to stop searching for reasons about poor form other than accepting that other teams have improved this season and our team has not been fast enough to react. Fans sometimes behave like those parents who are in denial that their child is not the perfect child that they believe they are.

I think Jared might be suffering from acute Martinkennedypowderpuffingitis.

The only known cure is to grow a set and run hard and tough at the defensive line, and where appropriate pop a short ball or offload to continually have the opposition on the back foot.

Without this the patient may be prone to being quarantined in reserve grade with other known suffers of the condition, many of whom are known to suffer a sad and painful death (of their career).
