  • SBW and Pearce in a "rift"

Ok last night there was a few people on here and I think JT? Pointed it out that Pearce and Sonny blatantly ignored each other when the team were bonding before the match.

If you were to look closely at the screen and not jump on the negatives they were the first ones to greet each other and even have a little chat before moving on to the rest of the team.

Turmoil over!! Enjoy this win if you're a chooks fan. Have a beer. We looked good last night.

      Well spotted.

I saw them "ignore each other". But before jumping to conclusions I watched the reply and saw that they were the first ones to hug and greet.

It would be silly to do it twice.

            I love the psycho-analysis.

Sonny wants out because he was quiet at the team bonding.

There is a rift in the team because two players didn't embrace during warm up.

We're fractured because because only three players showed up to the fan day and didn't smile enough.

There's little point and you trying to patronise me makes no difference.

                        I think there's evidence of a rift.

The question is are the players professional enough to overcome it?

The Kangaroos were and they hate each other especially after those inbred Qlders sung their team song after an Aussie win.

Lazo and Chris Anderson detested each other but led the Storm to their first title.

We have to overcome our differences too.

I am very confident they will overcome it and they will end up more committed than even last season.

They just have to stay in touch.

I think the Dogs did a great job of uniting us as a team.

They really lit a fire under the competitions sleeping giant.

I've always felt that despite our poor start at least we're not peaking too early.

I found an interesting stat that the last 3 Prems before us - Dragons, Manly and Storm - went combined 0 from 6 in the finals as defending Premiers.

They came out of the blocks great but ran out of puff.

I still sense that we're doing the opposite. 2002 and 2010 are ample proof that it's far more important to enter the finals on a hot streak but 5th or 6th than to finish top 4 but looking out of puff.

I sense that's how we'll enter the finals. On a serious run with our best ahead of us, not behind like Premiers before us.

If you compare us to last season we are massively off the pace.

But no other team stands out.

The comp is there for the taking if they get their act together.

                              Have to believe they will.
