Absolutely right Tobin,This side has the potential to win this comp.On song nobody can beat this side. But do they want it that's the question.I believe that they will sort out their shit and go back to back. They are professional footballers and don't like to lose.Pearce and Maloney being dropped is a huge bonus for us.Robbo will sort this out and bring them together. This side is the most talented team i have seen the roosters put on the paddock since the 70s.

I now believe that a major reason for teams not going back to back is lack of motivation.

Been there. Done that. Now what?

      Understandable really.

Sonny's last should be enough motivation..

Did anyone notice RTS brush of SBW's attempt of a post try celebration handshake?

          http://youtu.be/XYSI7CziW6A?t=37s

You notice he goes the high 5, the wrist to wrist and then as SBW goes to motion for the down low-reversal back 5 RTS just pushes his arm away.

It doesn't look like much but if only you guys knew the real story behind that. I can't say too much but it has something to do with a rubber duckie, a bath tub & 2 roll ups stolen from a secondary school in the Eastern suburbs.

I still think it has something to do with Ridge dating Katie.

                  Good call mate.

The way we defended for the last 10 minutes of the first half when the Divers got 4000 penalties showed that that we still have steel.

The Greg Louganis Dogs waved the white flag by taking the 2 points which only made us stronger.

It was great to see them give it to Ennis in the tunnel at half time.

How many other teams would defend like we do with such a lopsided penalty count against them?

There's only one team that has played 11 games with a better defensive record.

Maybe Cordner having a few schooners isn't that bad after all.

                  Easts to win.

The defence was great but they didn't throw much at us either.

Good signs but still well below last season.

Even with their halves, they dont look like they have much but somehow they manage to score enough points in games to win them. They scored more points the othjer night than what they did when they beat us earlier in the year

Our defence is getting its mojo back. Our team is getting its mojo back, Good signs and even better in my eyes the team still has plenty of scope for improvement

I have a massive rift, starts at my lower back and forms my legs.

                        Chook.

I am guilty of posting this on the match thread. I thought at the time that perhaps this was the end of the rotation of congratulations and as such perhaps this is why they didn't shake hands. I elected not to post this consideration at that time for brevity. Most type short sharp comments in the match day thread. I did not have the opportunity at the time to see replays.

In hindsight, especially considering the number of posts dedicated to this error, that I had taken the time to qualify this. Apologies to all.

They really lit a fire under the competitions sleeping giant.

I've always felt that despite our poor start at least we're not peaking too early.

I found an interesting stat that the last 3 Prems before us - Dragons, Manly and Storm - went combined 0 from 6 in the finals as defending Premiers.

They came out of the blocks great but ran out of puff.

I still sense that we're doing the opposite. 2002 and 2010 are ample proof that it's far more important to enter the finals on a hot streak but 5th or 6th than to finish top 4 but looking out of puff.

I sense that's how we'll enter the finals. On a serious run with our best ahead of us, not behind like Premiers before us.
                            Absolutely Tommy S

Its all about who's got the muscle & we had to go out there to REassert our ALPHA DOG status

There's a Melbourne cup preparation going on this year

Last year it was all 'Magic Millions', sprinting like a 2 yr old to take the prize

If we can make the top 6 that will jangle the nerves of those around us!

It would be silly to do it twice.

A comment Robbo made in his post match interview regarding being there for one your mates and going to the edge has been missing this season until Friday. As has been pointed out in the thread, I think we are back with our D, attitude and power game. The D really only let in one try (RTS just f***ed for the 2nd).

The attack still lacks the finishing touch but I expect us to finish top 4
