    He isn't an ex-player.

But as far as I am concerned that doesn't make his opinion any less valid than theirs. Or yours and mine for that matter.

Have you figured out what constitutes 'playing at the ball' yet, or are you still struggling to grasp the basic fundamentals of the game?

            You're so tiresome.

Like all teams, no player will deliberately invoke a penalty against their own team unless they have to.

No team member gives away penalties on purpose, more like some attempt by officialdom to justify the Loopsided penalty counts - plausible.

                  So...

The Cowboys gave away 3 penalties vs us last week.

And they've already conceded 8 in the 1st half alone vs the Raiders.

                  Hmmmm...

Amazing discipline vs us which has gone out of the window against someone else.

Move along people, nothing to see here!

Extending on that, I wonder what it actually feels like to win a lopsided penalty count? Rather than being on the receiving end every 2nd week.

It flat out just doesn't happen. When we win a penalty count it's always 7-6 or 9-8. The 5-2 count in the GF is as good as it gets. That was a thing of rare beauty.

Out of ALL the stats I came up with in my penalties research, this was the most remarkable one:

No. of penalty counts won by 3 or more between 2008-2013

                    Sharks ---------------------47
                    Rabbitohs-------------------37
                    Dragons---------------------35
                    Broncos---------------------35
                    Raiders----------------------32
                    Tigers-----------------------30
                    Eels--------------------------28
                    Cowboys---------------------27
                    Storm------------------------26
                    Titans------------------------25
                    Warriors---------------------21
                    Panthers---------------------19
                    Bulldogs---------------------19
                    Knights-----------------------18
                    Sea Eagles-------------------15
                    ...
                    ...
                    ...
                    Roosters----------------------7

That's just ****ing special. I don't see how anyone can look at that and say that the refs AREN'T biased against us.

Trust me when I say that I feel your frustrations!! According to certain people on here, the bias by the refs against us is ok/acceptable for a few reasons such as cause of the tip sheet theory which they have been using the same tip sheet for 10 years. Only problem being we only have one player still with us through that time and have had 5 different coaches. Another reason why it is seen as justifiable by them, is that the refs don't like us because our team is from the Eastern suburbs, a rich area, and this is ok for the refs to think like that.

And of course this obvious bias against us by the refs is in no way at all seen as corrupt in any way.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                      Here's looking at you, kid.

Nice one Tommy - basically in 6 seasons we have only won a little bit more than 1 game by 3 penalties.

The team might be from a 'rich' area but many fans are not though they may have been at one stage. I can't even afford to get my oil changed on my Lamborghini. We're just an easy side to penalise though, BUT I liked how Mini gets up there to argue with the refs, something Anasta and other captains failed to do. Mini wont let the refs get off that easy.

Just on the refereeing debate and us.

What is and isn't blown as a penalty is pretty subjective in most cases...usually not an open and shut case.

I actually think we are one of the MORE disciplined teams rather than one of the worst.

This makes the stats quite....remarkable to me really.
