  • NSW Cup as prelim game

How good was it to actually watch a game with some football played incl gritty defence....as a prelim to the main game.

So much better than the Toyota cup.

Well done Jets by the way... A strong last 60 mins of footy with some entertaining touches.

The guy in the headgear ...Harris I think...was outstanding.

        Agreed, fantastic to watch.

Great to see Moga finally back on the field (long time for me to watch him - i know he's been back for weeks)

Was there at least 8,976 there to watch the Jets play ?

If not, it was not worth moving them from Henson Park !

Agree on all fronts Jack really enjoyed the afternoon of footy - just to head out for a second day of it in our local CRL comp - thought the same about Harris not the biggest backrower but brought a lot to the team with his great workrate and even came up with a good little short kick.

More like 76 fans watching them...about 6 fans in Jets jerseys in the Pen area at the back, waving flags.

There's another one at Allianz in some weeks time...at 12.40pm...probably be 7 fans watching that one.

It's a wonder I wasn't up and dancin' when the Jets song started playing.

The Jets have found a bit of form.

I missed the match yesterday but recorded it on fox, the club has to tie Willis Meehan up long term. He can become the games best front rower. It is worth the gamble to give him good coin despite not having played firsts. He is giving up 3 years to Kane Evans but was much more dominant. Taumata was also pretty good in the final 60 minutes of the match.

The guy who looks the goods & played pretty good for Newtown is Taumata Aruna. Ive never seen him play before but have heard so much about him plus I did read the 2 page spread on him in the Telegragh on Friday. He is not a very big bloke but he can play footy.

I've noticed quite a few players missing form Newtown's ranks . Does anyone know the injury status of the following players.
                        Jack Siejka
                        Paul Rokolati
                        Siosiua Taukeiaho
                        Chris Taripo
                        Rhyse Martin

Taukeiaho is back next week. Martin was 18th man for the Roosters so that is why he didn't play. Taripo is not a Rooster contracted player. Sjieka is back the week after this I think and Rokalati is out of favour and may well have even been shown the door.

I guess in order to be sacked from 7 clubs you have to have first been signed by 7 clubs - they must have all seen some potential.
