  • sitting inside the top 4 despite barely getting out of 2nd gear all season

not sure its an indictment on the standard of the comp or a positive sign for later in the season, but its hard to believe given how average we have been this year that we can be sitting inside the top 4 at the halfway point of the comp.

we are also currently the only side in the top 8 yet to have a bye.

our run home consists of playing 6 matches against current top 8 sides, 6 matches against the current bottom 8 sides and 2 byes.

I have been dumb founded with how avg we have been playing. I wanted to leave at the 60min mark today due to frustration. We were winning comfortably but nothing seemed to have worked.

I can't wait until we click...... One day soon

There's a helluva lot of talent in that team and that's what we are getting by on. If we actually play to our potential at the back end of the year (and be relatively injury free) no one will get near us.

Plenty of teams outside of the 8 in 013 have seen massive improvement, Easts need a huge attitude adjustment if they are going to make anything of the 014 competition.. Long way too go in 2014!

Talent is good but attitude wins GF's..

My friend who is a Roosters supporter, but doesn't watch footy all the time, said to me at the match: "why are we winning? Why are we better than them?" And I said, "we are getting by on our big names, we are nowhere near what we should be".

We are just not clicking. The games we are winning is on about 60% of our ability. Last night we should have put 50 on the raiders.
We do not seem as hungry/switched on as other teams like the Panthers and cowboys.

Last year we won by keeping a few teams scoreless. This year we might win the comp by scrapping into the GF.

They won't be the first Side to fail to put the opposition to the sword when ahead, luckily it did or cost us

By the length of a Moa disallowed try
