  • Roosters Vs Sea Eagles

Alrighty I just booked flights and accom for 8 of us to watch this game on the 27th in Manly!

Staying in the rocks, it is a Friday night game so arriving around 10:30 and plan is to go to a few pubs on our way to the stadium plus the ferry in between. I have never been to brooky so what's the best plan and does anyone know if a shuttle bus does the trip from a manly pub to the game?? And also where should we sit at the stadium??

    Cheers guys and girls.

I would recommend getting somewhere close to the ground before 5pm.

Getting through Military Rd during peak hour is a nightmare.

Dude just walk up to Wynyard station from the rocks and get an express bus to Brooky if u want to have pre drinks stop off at the Brooky hotel right near the ground( plenty of bogan Manly fans drink there) lol as for seating you'll have to rough it up on the hill unless you buy grandstand seats right now cause they are very scarce especially for Roosters games.

Mate once you are settled in just catch the ferry over to Manly and enjoy the day there, plenty of pubs with reasonable food.Catch the 155 or 156 from Manly wharf and it stops right outside Brookie Oval, takes about 20 mins from Manly Wharf. Coming back you can do the trip in reverse or just catch one of the plenty of the limited stops buses into Wynyard, just check which stops they leave from as I don't think the L buses stop at the stop outside Brookie Oval but I think they stop at the stop before coming from the north and also at Warringah Mall that is just down the road.

Spend as little time as you have to in Scumvale.
If you get a ferry to Manly, book a maxi-taxi to the ground. Shared amongst 8 people it won't cost too much.
I always hang on the hill at this ground. I don't think there's too much of an advantage by getting a grandstand seat.
I'd rather be surrounded by our supporters than Manly scum.
Where are you coming from to watch the game?

              Thanks heaps guys.

The plan defiantly is to catch the ferry over as out of the 8 I am the only one to ever go to manly.

I reckon the hill is looking more than likely just fingers crossed for good weather.

We are all coming from the Tweed / Coolangatta area and I'm one of 3 easts supporters. Others range from sharks to rabbits

Last time I was there is was for the grand final. Hoping it's a similar result.

What's a good pub in manly to ark up a few locals? I have heard the Steyne is not to bad off my old man?

I loved the 'reserved' seating near the field. Wooden boards that haven't been changed since the 60's and are all dried and full splinters... much rather seat on the grass hill like the SCG days.

Shouldn't be too difficult to persuade people of that ilk to follow the Chooks for one evening

It should be a top game the Roosters won there last season after many years of losing at Brooky so hopefully they get up again for you.

The Harbord Hotel is a not a bad pub that is around 10 minutes from Brookvale Oval in a cab.

Give em heaps mate...this will be sweet revenge on their own dunghill.

First round was a complete hatchet job by the referees.
