Willis Meehan - according to one newspaper report "one of the most astonishing athletic talents in the country".

He's 18, 195cm tall and weighs 116kg. Sounds like he might be a hand full when he stops growing.

Geez how would Kane feel now that Meehan has jumped the queue.

So is Mortimer injured, completely getting the flick, or what? Hasn't played for weeks in either grade

without question Meehan was more impressive for Newtown on the weekend, it was a scary performance from an 18 y/o prop, with injury questions over Casty, either Meehan or Evans could end up playing this weekend.

out with a hamstring injury, but regardless would not have been playing 1st grade, Robbo has now switched to using Maubs if Friend needs a rest, gives the bench more punch.

some whispers today that Morts might be back at Parra before june 30th due to their hooking crisis.

I think Mort's will pick up another club soon.

I must admit, however, I'm not a fan of the maubs hooker thing. Looks awkward for all concerned.

He is a ball runner primarily.

Maubs being the bench hooker/backrower ala Mick Crocker is the best thing since sliced bread.

Looks like TRobbo is finally listening to me.

also noticed Moga at centre for Jets. Seems like his recovery is progressing and they are moving him closer to the action

I agree. No point playing morts for 10 mins a match (if that) when you can slide maubs in there for that period and then put him in the backrower for the rest of his allocated match time. His defence is more than capable.

Looks like nsw are throwing maubs name around for a possible center spot.

They obviously want an excellent, mobile strong defender out wide to handle GI.

Maubs would be a great candidate for that.
