I think the show is very informative and often quiet funny. One of the better shows on tv. Its many levels above the footy show - I find it hard to believe some people don't like it.Proud member of the Ricky Stuart Appreciation club - Laurie Frier walks on water tra lal lala lar la la lar.

Vossy was the highlight of Fox's super Saturday commentating yesterday. Such a shame that the hypocrite bully Hadley forced him out of Channel 9. Gyngell should be ashamed of himself for allowing that to happen, as it was to the detriment of the 9 commentary team.
I respect Paul Kent because whilst I don't always agree with his opinions, at least he has the guts to put them out there, whether those who are influential in the game like it or not. Unlike most of the journos, he is prepared to stand by what he thinks, and not what people believe he should be thinking.
Unlike Ikin who is nothing more than a mouthpiece for his father in law. Little wonder Bennett doesn't do media - he doesn't need to when he has his gopher doing it all for him.

I usually detest Voss and don't understand why people don't attribute his demise to himself just as much as Hadley. At Ch9 was just as bad as Ray Warren without the age to blame.
But last night I found him listenable, maybe its that he has decided he isn't the "Greatest thing sinced sliced bread" and has learnt some humility.
There is nothing that will save Ch9, with Warren repeatedly talking over the others to do live ads for Ch9 shows, neglecting the RL.
On Commentary you should have heard the rugby on Ch10, Gordon Bray knows what he is on about but Sterling Mortlock and Matt Burke even if they knew had no idea how to use the english language to get their points acrossThe Internet is a place for posting silly things

I feel like poor old Vossy is a bit misunderstood. He's just one of those blokes that doesn't realise he isn't that funny. He'll have the odd moment but in general it's just not there. Much prefer him as a play by play commentator to anyone else on free-to-air at the moment. And he's actually a quality down to earth bloke as well. On the rugby KB, I remember seeing Mortlock commentating for the first time in the Lions tour. I get that there is nerves in that situation but my god it was abysmal. Burke was almost as bad but his and incoherence and staleness was somewhat forgotten about as soon as they crossed to poor old Stirling who tried to convey something but god knows what in the end.Originally posted by Kingbilly View PostComment
