I hope not, If Fergo joins the backline then someone either Mini or SKD is moved on and one of them is still under contract from what I understand.

Face the facts boys, Mini wont be playing next year, the worst mistake any team can make is to keep a player a year too long. He is doing things ok against the second tier sides, remember we haven't beaten a genuine first tier team so far this season, ask yourself why, Mini is one of the reasons, too many errors when it matters most, we all love him, but him time has come.
Now Tedesco he re-signed with the Tigers, whatever the name of the bloke who played fullback for them a few weeks ago against us, would be a relatively cheap buy, to takeover, he was the best player on the field against us, and we won the game.

But those injuries are what's killed his career (his not being able to bend to pick up Maloney's grubber shows that) and showing that he should call it a day after this year. Sheck is beginning to show his real talent and Nene Macdonald will slot easily into the wing position.

Mini is a great clubman but for all the great things he does, there are signs that it's over.
A voice of reason. Can't be bothered going back through the Mini bashing posts but amazing to see after a good game against a depleted Storm outfit how many of you are calling for Mini to have another year.

All I will say is the next bad game Mini has, watch how many people on here call for his head.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

You know...AWalker started this and not sure of his mindset at doing this but I would have done it otherwise but just as a'gee-up' to those that continuously jump on every mistake Mini does, meanwhile others get away with murder and 'this lot' say bugger all. I know Mini is leaving BUT if Trent was to want to keep Mini for another season, I wouldn't be complaining. The guy is still competitve.

Me a voice of reason. The world has gone completely insane.

Seriously, I love Mini. He's been a great club man. But he's like Ali after Frasier. Go out a champ not a chump being pummelled by Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks.

Do you really think Walker didnt start this thread as a bit of "gee up". Cant beleive no one has picked up on it.

He had an awesome game and I think he would be a great full time winger. That's his final position and if he moved their permanently he could easily play 1 or 2 more seasons.

Well you'd have to ask him about but then again in the match thread I made the comment as soon as the game finished to counter act those that were on and on about how many mistakes Mini made. I'm glad he only made 5 cause they would have to use their other hand to keep counting.

He scored 2 tries that I doubt anybody else playing fullback at this club could have scored, even if one was on the Wing. He had to firstly catch the ball and then run on the very difficult surface in Melbourne, I believe it started getting a bit dewy, most others probably would have slipped over. I am more worried about Sheck's errors, I remember him dropping a kick a few weeks back, also throwing a bad pass. That's just not acceptable, he needs at least another 2 years before he would be ready if ever to play fullback.
                    Classic.

                    That's the experience shining through.

                      Hard to argue with this.

We should be used to his dropped balls.

That kid played well that game. So yes, let's replace a 15-year, dual premiership winning, in-form, club legend with a rookie whose name we can't remember. Good thinking.

Seriously, I suspect this is Mini's last year, but I don't think we need to recruit a replacement. Roger might need more development in the role, but he will succeed there if given the chance. And we have others in the ranks who could do the job too - even young Hastings.
