SKD has said himself that it is the first time in years that he has played injury free.
He has had a fairly good season so far on top of a good back end to last season.
He has one year left. He will be battling out with Fergo and Macdonald for a spot next year and I doubt he will be playing centre.
He is unlikely to get offered an extension especially on his current salary of $350K.
Many players have left their club with a year remaining on their contract to secure a long term contract elsewhere.
With the chance of SKD playing for Newtown at some point next year, I would think that if he got an offer for a few years that he would strongly consider it and I doubt the club would hold him back. On current form there would be a few clubs that would chase him.
IMO his only chance of being here next year is if Fergo stuffs up between now and the end of the year.
He will always be known as a grand final winning Rooster but I hope they don't drag out the broken jaw thing as long as the Satler one has.Last edited by BUDDY; 06-11-2014, 03:23 PM.

All the years we made the semis.
All the years all the side played well.
And ironically 3 of those seasons we had two 1/2s who could get quality ball to the centres and wingers.
Not many centres are super ball players. Maybe only Lyon and GI who have won comps as 5/8s. And GI is 1/2 the player in the centres he is at FB or 5/8.
SKiD is like the vast majority of centres and wingers, they need their forwards going forward and need to get fed some quality ball.
The years we've achieved those things as a side SKiD has gone well.
The irony is AV and SKiD debuted the same time, played the same amount of games in first grade and have basically the same tries to games played ratio.
But of course when you see it with your eyes, and I don't mean what's written here or in the papers, you know better.
Sack him NOW.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

Whilst discussing centres, MJ has been poor over the last month and we haven't seen his 2013 form at all this year.
I'm a huge wrap on MJ, in fact at his best I rate as the best centre in the game, I love his pace but he doesnt see anywhere near enough ball.
I think we are wasting a truly great asset.
Thoughts....Last edited by Matty_C; 06-11-2014, 10:50 PM.

He has been our best and most consistent all year.
I have criticised him plenty in the past, but not this year.
