If this rule comes Some time down the track a few clubs may just get a shock
    When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

Of course the need to field so many locals in your first grade team has nothing to do with the fact nobody wants to live and play in Cold, dreary place and nothing to do with the fact that have a ****stick as coach who has destroyed every club he has been at, including Origin

Yes, a terrible winter climate, and an even worse coach, who no player worth his salt, wants to play for, make it hard for them, if they never had that gun side in the late 80's, their trophy cabinet would be pretty bare.
Saying that, that have an amazing junior nursery there, and turn out many talented footballers, who eventually move away from Canberra, so the league must do something to keep them afloat, or make the decision to close it down, and move the franchise to a more acceptable area, where players wouldn't mind moving too.

The Roosters have been the default 'have a whinge about club, when my teams going shit for years now' fatso Richardson got the ball rolling when he was with penriff about crowd numbers. Canberra have more problems than worrying about the roosters.

Strange that they have us down as a recruiting club, rather than a developing club.

Out of our first 17, we have 12 who debuted in first grade with us - and that's not counting Moa, who played 1 game with the Sharks years ago.

Plus, this week we have Evans, McDonald and Meehan coming in, so that's 3 more - and Langi, who played against the Dogs.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story though......

I love how they 'developed' Milford as a local junior... He's from Qld... Do they have the same policy as the Qld state of origin rules??

He's been in their system since he was 14 even if he was living in Qld. I would say they have had more impact on his development than anybody else.

How about Grant Mayer (Wests Tigers) looking for compensation for Sam Moa (along with Hayne and Folau and Le Bron James)

"You look at guys like Ben Te'o, Sam Moa and even before that Jarryd Hayne and Israel Folau came out of our catchment area ... but if one of them go on to play State of Origin or Test football what does this club get for that?"

                      Who cares?

Rugby league is a professional sport.

Go through our GF team and you will see many came through our lower grades.

We also won the SG Ball this year.

Bad luck Canberra. Winter must be kicking in.

The article is about developing players from a young age, which makes it even more ridiculous.

Edrick Lee, Papalii & Milford are all from the Riverina area but Canberra have developed them from a young age and fair enough they want concessions. Why we are the comparison I'm not sure if you go through our squad we've got quite a large chunk of players of players that we've developed from a young age.

Both Canterbury & Penrith who are having very successful seasons have been far more active in the transfer market than us and their starting 17's are packed with players they've bought. Far more than us.

Like someone said when it comes to having a whinge about juniors we're just the default club.

Seriously canberra, compensation? Most of your team are juniors. If you can't make them into top line players, is that the Roosters fault? How many players playing elsewhere are from canberra, that weren't sacked?

Factor in the source guys. Brad Walter is a mouthpiece for lol @ souffs and would take pleasure writing such a column about us ignoring the facts. He gets throat farked by The Gladiator every time he writes something positive about lol @ souffs or negative about us.

                              Chook.
