not there was much doubt but with Moga out suspended Maubs will almost be certainly named at left centre tonight, feel sorry for Toups won't see much ball playing outside Maubs for the next 6 weeks.

Maubs has a habit of being a bit of a roadblock when playing at centre, this comes from his extensive time as a wide running backrower, he is used to hitting holes rather than promoting the ball, keep an eye out over the next 6 weeks the majority of ball that Toups will get is from Maloney cut out passes or kick returns.

I'm not sure I have noticed this as being a problem with Maubs mate. Sure he's a great hole runner but I can recall him putting players away with some great play.

I honestly can't ever recall Maubs bombing scoring opportunities due to an inability to put outside men into space.

Anyhow I reckon we are very lucky as a club to have such an able fill in for a bloke like AV. Hopefully it's only 4 games with the byes and DoubleSteamer bags a few during that time.

I definately realise AV is a freak and is irreplaceable.

I just don't believe there's anyone in the club that could fill in for a month as well as Maubs has shown in the past.

I reckon Maubs is less of a ballhog than SKD so Toups can be thankful he's not on the other side where RTS catches nothing but a cold some games when on the wing, espec when SKD is having a 'rocks' night.

If Toups rekond he's not getting quality ball he can always go looking for it, which he's done in the past.

One thing's for sure, Toups has more chance of getting over the line playing for the Chooks than he does for NSW with the Dogs' halves crap kicking game!

Our edge defence will be more important this week, Maubs and Cords on the left sounds good. Lyon of late runs wide looking to give it to Hiku then chip kicks back in field for Stewart? Its hard to defend and works brilliantly for them.
