I think there will be a few angry if Moga is let go, judging by social media and this forum, he seems to be a favourite already.
Of course the club probably doesn't think about this, and all will be forgotten if ferguson goes good. But if Moga kills it at another club, and fergo ****s up again, there will be alot of anger and dissapointment. The same can be said about our other youngsters like MacDonald if thru dont stay and goe well someonewhere else

I pity you.
I am not wishing the guy a bad life I'm just not wanting to see him tear it up for another club after our persistence with him. Anyway I doubt that would happen cause the guy is a very weak defender and at the moment he is just not a first grader.

it makes sense now for TauTau and the Roosters to try and find him a club before june 30, there is little point him staying if he is no longer required going forward and is so far down the pecking order he will not play first grade with us again, also the money saved by releasing him early might be handy in trying to retain some of the players off contract next year.
must be heartbreaking for TauTau being told he has to leave the club he has grown up at, I bet his mates RTS/Toups aren't exactly thrilled at the news he is being ditched for Fergo.

REMEMBER Tautau Moga, the Rooster tipped to be the NRL’s next Israel Folau? Moga officially asked the Roosters for a release this week. The Raiders and Cronulla are two clubs chasing him.

My comment was based on your calloused comments about the kid.
He was touted as a future superstar and has had a couple of documented bad years with injury. The club stood by him at that time and I am disappointed if he must move on but equally accept that sometimes this happens.
If he goes to another club I hope he does do well as I would wish well as I would wish well on any young man trying to make it in this game.
If he does turn into a superstar and bites us on the ass then thats fine too because it looks like his departure is driven by the club rather than him.

It is funny how things work out. If Moga did not suffer those injuries, most likely Topau would not have made the top grade when he did and who knows may never have got his chance.
I hope Moga does well (but not against us). It will be interesting to see how he goes. Will he succeed after leaving us like a Nathan Blacklock or will he fade like that young kid we released to the Cowboys (he had a lot of injuries) and I can't remember his name

I have never seen what others on here have seen in Moga. Yes, when he gets the ball he can be damaging with it. But there are 2 sides to football.
Physical and mental.
Injury free, the kid has all the physical attributes. But mentally, he is absolutely nowhere near where he needs to be for FG. And Im not talking about mental scarring from his knee injuries.
When he made his FG debut (wing from memory) there was a passage of play where he got beaten on halfway and just stood there. Then he began to jog back whilst the ball carrier was sprinting on the way to scoring. Moga had given it up. In the end the ball carrier got ankle tapped or fell over about 5 metres out. It was so clear that if Moga had of turned and chased like he should have, he would have been there to stop the guy from scoring. But because Moga was ambling back, the guy got back to his feet and made his way to the line and scored. That was the first time I began to doubt him.
I have seen nothing to convince me since that the mental attitude of his game has improved. Some players have great mental awareness. I dont think this kid does. Even when he plays for Newtown he never goes looking for the ball. He stays put and waits for it to come to him. And yes, invariably when he does get it he does something special with it. I compare him a little to Sia Soliola. A great physical presence, without the mental aspect to compliment his game. Not game smart.
Anyway, like Mighty Rooster, I trust Trent Robinson. If he wanted Moga or believed in the hype, he would find a way to keep him.
If Moga goes I wish him all the best and would love to see him prove me wrong.Embrace the Hate! JC
