While I agree with you about the f#$kwit thingy, I am sick of seeing the numbers of real "footballers" dwindling in the game
I'm not a fan of the 20's either but these young "stars" are only going to learn about attitude in defence by playing FG and training with the top squad not running around park football or in the 20's. From what I have seen of Moga, he shows somewhat of a real footballer in attack in his ability to create space and oppurtunities for not only himself but his winger aswell. I have no doubt he has the potential to be a great FG footballer.
While Blake is no doubt a FG footballer, he hasn't really performed at a consistent level in all his years of playing fg

No doubt Moga has ability. It's not a guarantee though that he will become a superstar.

People at the club like Robbo, Peter O'Sullivan and others, who, whether you like to believe it or not, actually do know more about footy than us, have obviously decided that Tau Tau is not worth hanging onto for the money that he would demand. Whether that's due to his ability, his level of commitment, his mental state, his injury history, we really don't know. If they thought he was worth the coin that he's going to be offered then they'd keep him. We don't lose players we want.

Our recruitment and retention, as well as releasing of certain players, has been amazing since Robbo has been in charge. We've had some awesome big name signings, we've re signed most of the younger guys that we want to keep, and we let go of a bunch of players that at the time a lot of people didn't agree with. I think it all worked out pretty well right? I personally have a lot of faith in what the they're doing so I'm happy to 'Trust in Trent' as they say.

The young one to really keep an eye on is Lachlan Matrell. I'm not a you tube-over-hype-the youngsters type of person, but if everything stays on course Lachlan will be the next young one to hit the scene big time, as in Inglis and Folau style. He turns 17 next week, I think, which means he is now allowed to play 20's. Whether or not he will, I'm not sure, I know they wont be rushing him though. I do know that they wont be letting him go

Also, Peter O'Sullivan has just come back from England. Not empty handed.

Of course we can all have opinions on who the club should keep and so on, but enjoy the ride and have faith, we're in good hands.

Yep, sadly real footy players are rare these days.

            I think you'll find it's Latrell Mitchell.

POS rates him the best prospect he's ever discovered.

I don't understand the criticism of Moga.

In 2012 he came into first grade at 18 in a team that was ****ing disgraceful and looked to be one of our best outside backs.

Since then he has had back to back knee reco's and is just trying to find his feet again.

And I don't buy the bullshit about "footballers" v "athletes". Moga is both he has a great passing game in him.

Anyway since I have ever watched footy the very best players have always been both great athletes and players.

The difference now is due to fulltime training they are better all round players.

                Lachlan Matrell...that's Gold!!

But I agree with everything else you said, bronterooster. He is our next big thing in the backs.

I don't see why it has to be a question of keeping tautau or signing ferguson. We still haven't found sonny's replacement. If moga gets his work rate up and improves defensively he could fill that spot nicely.

I think it's extremely distasteful and dishonourable to refer to someone's young son as a 'peaheart'. It may shock some of you on here but not everyone is born with natural talent of a Brett Kenny or Brad Fittler. 2 under 20's players took their own lives last year, one because he could not cope with injury and unfortunate pressure and expectations dumped on his young shoulders. Show some respect for these young men and where they come from. Many have left their families interstate or in country towns to come and wear the red, white and blue of our club and the keyboard heroes on here want to rip them to shreds for some perceived weakness or failure. For the life of me I just can't understand why some of you just can't go out and enjoy watching a game of football without expecting to see a game each and every time of Origin proportions and excitement, especially from youngsters who are trying to find their feet. That is what the lower grades are all about. I remember when we went and watched all 3 grades on a Sunday and there was never such venom directed at youngsters like there is now.

Not every player comes in at such a young age and is the complete package. In fact I'll say no player has ever come in at 19 and been both an attacking threat and a more then confident and reliable defender.
Even the good players like Hodges and the like who have had multiple knee injuries have taken time to fully get there confidence back so why is it so hard to believe that a 20 yr old would be a little hesitant to go looking for the footy in his first 5 games back?
I just can't believe we worked so hard to rid the club of f$&kwhits over the last few years and now look certain to sign arguably the biggest f$&kwhit out there at the expense of Moga who we put so much time and effort into
Not just referring to one incident mate. The games I have seen him in, I have seen a real lack of involvement. And tbh, I am old enough and ugly enough to admit when I am wrong, so I really do hope the kid proves me wrong. And I have heard he will play FG today V Knights.

I think the question we all need to ask is, "Do we trust Trent Robinson?" I certainly do. Moga is a contracted player for this year. If Robinson believed Moga was going to be as big as the hype that surrounds him, you cant tell me he would allow him an early release. They seem set on Ferguson (and yes I agree he is a $arkwit), so I imagine Robbo would try to find another Club for SKD, if he wanted Moga to stay.

The rumour is that Moga plays today. So maybe they are trying to keep him after all. If he does, i hope he has a blinder. I will be the first to eat humble pie.

Moga is not playing for Newtown today.

The Mole tweeted that Moga would be playing first grade tonight with Evans dropping off the bench.

                          Inetresting.

From the man in charge of the raiders mouth, was that tau tau going to canberra was just paper talk. Hopefully its the same with sharks rumours.

My main worry with Moga was his lack of urgency.

I remember a try Canberra scored when he didn't come up off his line. The Canberra player just strolled over.
