  • Cordner to return against Manly

was just listening to Roosters Radio and they were saying they were talking to Cordner over the weekend and looks like he will be ready to return at Brookvale after the bye.

amazing to think we could have our entire first grade squad fit and available to pick (depending on origin) this far into the season.

I think FPN is in danger now.

He was dogshit against the Knights. No surprise he spent so much time on the bench after his heartless non attempt to tackle Jeremy Smith.

I'd like to see Liu take hid place in the lock rotation with Guerra.

      SBW
      Cordner
      Guerra
      JWH
      Friend
      Moa

      Casty
      Liu
      Aubo
      Napa/Evans/Meehan

Is our strongest team going forward imo.

I think Robbo is a FPN fan and like SKD is much loved by the playing group. He will be in the side every week injuries permitting of course.Gee it sux being a chooks fan, look at the calibre of players who can't get a run and the ones coming through. It's a terrible situation we find ourselves in.

I just can't wrap my head around his "effort" to tackle Smith, though.

He didn't even try to stop him. Didn't even put his arms out!

It was Milford-esque and goes against everything we've been about the past 18 months.

At least SKD always gives 100%.

Every player misses tackles through lack of effort. I remember Sonny missing one against the gummies earlier this year that was quiet embarissing for a player of his calibre.
I'm not making excuses for Frank either, I think he has been good in patches for us but few and far between. I want to see the wrecking ball every hit up and tackle he makes

Everyone wants to see the Wrecking Ball - we know how good he is on his day.

But he is even more inconsistant than SKD. I notice the FPN fans that used to proclaim 'but he is intimidating and runs good decoys' have gone missing of late.

I'll give SKD credit, he does put in each week, it's just some weeks his inputs are less valuable than others.

FPN puts in once every 8 weeks. This must be his last year at the club.

I think Robbo uses FPN differently to all other players, ie more of an impact player, esp in attack. He's often used for a big hit up on the 4th tackle, then quick play the ball for a sweeping play back the other way. We have scored lots of tries off this play, ie back peddling defence. This is contrary to most other players, ie play long, hard, consistent minutes.
He does shit me in defence, the cuddling rubbish, yes it stops the offload, but thee is no aggression in it, and he lets the player march upfield.

Im not a big FPN fan, but he does seem to have a high opinion by his coaches who I dont believe have ever dropped him? One of the only chooks players I don't ever remember getting a MOTM award.

Freddy never got one in origin, but barely comparable

I can't remember the last time FPN had a standout performance.

                      Impact player at best.

FPN has had the luxury of playing with a red hot team under Robbo who lets face it hasnt required too much tinkering. Robbo really hasnt been in a situation where he has faced the pressure to dropping players due to a run of losses.

Milanja had the nail on the head here. 8 seasons with us and he is yet to produce a MOM performance. Even SKD has done that. Add to that that he is an a-grade asshole who thinks he is some gansta bad-ass muthafuvka.

Napa is an interesting one. He defends very well, always good for a big hit, and can play extended minutes. However, his go forward is probably the worst out of all of our forwards, at least on the edges. He hardly made it past the advantage line on Saturday. He is only young and I'm sure this will improve, but I'm hoping that when it comes to a big game, we won't have to rely on him playing on the left edge. I think Maubs deserves a better go when a second row spot is vacant, he has always been good there. Especially his combination with Pearcey.

Yeah but he intimidates opposition forwards and refuses to take a backward step on the field. Sure he can be lazy, but I guarantee you Jared, Sonny, Sam, Boyd and Co love playing with him.

                              Chook.
