As bad as we were tonight with penalties given and the mistakes that were made we were very much still in it until near the end, Manly are leading the comp and barely beat us on a bad game at Brookie, I'm actually starting to feel good about the season and our prospects.

Maloney's kicking under pressure is usually great but no way was his miss the reason we lost. As I said if we have a half like DCE or Cronk or Thurston we'd be unbeatable, Pearce doesn't cut it.

The sad thing is with Pearce is that I think we have seen him peak.

I can't see him getting better from here.

That being said I think he will be a very serviceable halfback for us. His passing game is top notch.

Another phuk up at a crucial time in the game, a game that we should've won. We had the ascendency until Pearce kicks it out on the full. We had to be the first scorers in the 2nd half, it was always going to be bloody hard chasing them down in the 2nd half. Pearce sh1ts me how he always makes a hash of important plays. If we had DCE instead of Pearce we'd be unbeatable. A win to Manly but one that definitely got away.

A stupid lazy JWH penalty leads to Manly's first try.

Blah lost in the first twelve minutes 6 penalties conceded for two tries.
We had several try scoring opportunites like all year we blew them .Sheck in clear and no support was the worst right on the spot where Jennings could have been.
Pearce out played DCE but threw in a major blunder to spoil it.
I would rather give a smack on the arse to a serial penalty offender in JWH ,FPN is also good for one or two.
Lets not forget our forwards out played theres.
There centers out played ours simple.
Maloney was beyond useless he deserves all the crap coming his way .

Jennings has been great in defence and we missed him.
SKD is always good to be rushing in the line to concede a try and drop a clean ball.
Their centers didnt.
Didnt like Lestarnge coming on for Friend either and we are better keeping Maubs on the bench than in the centers.
I can see what Robbo is trying to do with our attack and it hasnt fully gelled all year only in parts.
Commentators kept saying how good manly attack has been all year but Im sure statistically we are better just not converting all opportunities.
We just have to keep in touch with the semis and wait fro an explosion from the chooks last coupe, of rounds the good sign yesterday was our forwards were real good.

Surely the Roosters know they can't buy a penalty so they'd do their best not to give away stupid ones?!?! It can't be that hard FFS.

I'm not the biggest Pearce fan but comparing him to Hodkinson is idiotic, he is average. He played an injury ravaged Queensland team with a full strength NSW side and won two low scoring games. Now some have him down as a superstar, no clue.

One thing I know for certain Hodkinson couldn't have scored the try that Pearce scored, no chance in hell.
